I'll pick up you at your hotel and take you to traditional areas, Fukagawa and Ryougoku, which are reminiscent of old townscape in Edo, former name of Tokyo. You can enjoy more comfortable atmosphere apart from popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo. And at the end of my tour I'll take you to your favorite shopping area, Ginza, Shibuya or Shinjuku before leaving.

Fukagawa Edo Museum
The museum is a cultural facility established so that visitors could see the townscape of Fukagawa at the end of Edo era recreated in full size, where you can touch the actual living utensils and tools of old Japanese
Fukagawa Fudo
This is a branch temple of Naritasan Shinshoji Temple where you can join Goma Fire Ritual (Goma Ceremony) held every day in front of a consecrated fire.
Sushi restaurant in Tsukiji
I'd like to take you to my favorite sushi restaurant in Tsukiji.
Sumida Hokusai Museum
This is a museum displaying a large number of masterpieces of Katsushika Hokusai, who is a world-renowned ukiyo-e artist.
Ryogoku Kokugikan
This is a main stadium of sumo wrestling. If you are lucky you can see sumo wrestlers and take a photo with them.

You can join the Goma Fire Ritual free of charge. However, If you have a particular blessing and want a wooden amulet held over the fire as a proof of this prayer, some ceremony fee is required. (¥5,000～¥10,000)

I am flexible to one day trip to Hakone, Lake Kawaguchi and Nikko if you pay my transportation fee on top of the tour in Tokyo.

Hello, I'm Yoshi!! I started my second career as a tour guide after retiring from the Japanese computer company I had worked for about 40 years. I was born in Asakusa and grew up in down town in Tokyo. I’m married with two daughters and three grandchildren, two girls and a boy.

“The Best Day in Tokyo”
Spending your first full day in Tokyo with Yoshi is a fabulous way to start your vacation on the right foot. Yoshi is not only a knowledgeable tour guide, he is so kind and really tries to connect with people in the group. We definitely saw him connect to our teenage daughter pointing things that would keep her interested. He suggested a good snack shops throughout the day - wagyu, mochi, street vendors for nuts, ect. Highly recommend using Yoshi for any tours in and around Tokyo.

“Excellent tour in Tokyo”
Our Tokyo tour with Yoshi was everything that we expected and hoped for. Yoshi came to pick us up from our hotel and navigated us through the extensive metro system during the day. That was a good introduction to us as we were able to use the metro on our own the following few days. Yoshi took us to many important sites during our tour. He was very knowledgeable and even had written description of the history of each site we visited. We found the written descriptions very helpful as we both, my husband and I, are visual learners. As we visited several shrines, Yoshi introduced us to the local cultures by guiding us to act as locals. We really appreciated that. We were able to see a lot in 8 hours. The day was broken out by a lunch - the best sushi I have ever eaten. We had a great day and highly recommend Yoshi to anyone visiting Tokyo!

The unbeaten tracks of Sumida and Koto Wards (5 hour excursion)
Sumida and Koto area was part of the eastern peripheral of old Edo with many second houses of feudal lords which typically had splendid Japanese gardens.
