After general presentation of Japan, we will move to Imperial Palace by public transportation.

Imperial Palace, ex Edo castle, has been the political center in the Japanese history more than 400 years. It is two times bigger than Tokyo Disney Land.

We can walk to the main gate of Imperial Palace, where you can take a memorial photo with a beautiful background of the Edo castle.

12:00 PM

Tsukiji Outer Market, Ginza & Lunch

We will move to Tsukiji Outer Market & Ginza.

Tsukiji is one of the busiest Japanese retail markets where you can find variety of fish, meet, vegetable etc. of Japanese cuisine. There are good Japanese Sushi restaurants which use fresh materials from Tsukiji.

Ginza has been recognized as the most reliable and established shopping area for 400 years. You can find worldwide top brand shops and department stores not only for Japanese but also foreign guests.

02:30 PM

Tokyo Tower and Zojoji

Tokyo tower was built in 1958 before the first Olympic game held in Tokyo, 1964. Its height is 333 m and the second highest tower in Japan. It has a nice observatory from where you can enjoy beautiful scenery of Tokyo City and if the weather is good, we may watch the top of Mt. Fuji on your west.

Zojoji is a historical temple built by Tokugawa Shogunate next to Tokyo Tower.

04:30 PM

Shibuya

Move to Shibuya and walk through Shibuya Crossing. You can watch within one traffic signal, nearly 3000 people try to reach opposite corner, no clashing each other, using steps, dodging etc. Finish would be a good Japanese restaurant for dinner.

About Tour Guide Shin N.

Welcome to Japan! I'm Shin. I have been an English Guide in Japan more than10 years.

I can guide Tokyo, Kanagawa and almost all metropolitan sightseeing and walking spots.

I was born in Kobe, grown up in Osaka, and studied in Kyoto,

so not only Tokyo but I also have a good knowledge of Japanese historical cities.

I love talking about Japanese food & culture, walking quiet narrow streets, drinking tasty Japanese whisky, Sumo, Rugby & Sports, and Japanese mountains.

I climbed Mt. Fuji 18 times with foreign guests. We enjoyed the auspicious moments of sunrising from the summit.

I would like to support you to make your stay in Japan memorable and precious one.

It is grateful if you refer to my proposed tour schedule,

in the case you have your own interests, I am happy to tailor the tour schedule responding your requests.

Elizabeth san, Thank you for your kind review. I just want to refresh our tour day in early July 2026. When you booked my date, you gave me specific ideas of destinations & meals, which helped me a lot. Based on your request, we started our tour from Meiji Jingu Shrine & Takeshita Street close to your hotel. We moved to Tsukiji Outer Market. We enjoyed Edomae Sushi at a Sushi restaurant few min away from Tsukiji Station, where we could enjoy authentic but reasonable Sushi. After lunch, you explored the unique food culture of Tsukiji and bought some Japanese snacks there. We took a taxi from Tsukiji to Imperial Palace. Unfortunately, the East Gardens was closed for maintenance, we walked to the main gate of Imperial Palace, where we took some memorial photos in front of Double Bridges, one is stone made, another is steel made. We talked about the Edo Castle history and the Imperial family. We had a short tea break at the center of Marunouchi business area, where you enjoyed Japanese ice-cream and fruit gelato. We got on JR Yamanote Line to Shibuya and join the crowded passengers of Shibuya Crossing. Our goal was a Wagyu beef restaurant near Harajuku. I recommended Sukiyaki, the most popular way for Japanese to enjoy Wagyu, a kind of Japanese dishes which is made of high-grade beef, vegetable, egg, and special soy sauce. We ordered the medium size course of Sukiyaki; however, its quantity was enough to make our stomach full. I hope your family enjoyed one busy day, lots of walking & eating, in Tokyo! Arigatou, Shin

Shin was more than a guide he became family!

Took a week trip to Japan, shin was accommodating and helped make our trip a success. When shin didn’t join us on a day the kids would all ask where is shin? He joined us for dinner helped us order and made the experience a true joy. Next time I go to Japan he will be on our speed dial.

Tony san, Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. We met at Narita airport on the first day. Based on your request, I booked a hire to your hotel in Ueno with no necessity to get on trains. Using our own car enabled us to visit Imperial Palace on the way to Ueno. We took a memorial picture in front of main entrance of Imperial Palace. After your checking in, we walked through the Ueno Park, where were quiet and less people. Your family showed interests in Toshogu Shrine, worshiped for Tokugawa Shogunate Family with 5 story pagodas. We enjoyed Tonkatsu, deep fried pork, dinner together. Next morning, your family went to Team-Lab on your own at Toyosu, we tried Ramen noodles at Toyosu market. In the afternoon, we used Narita Express to pick up your elder son and return to Ueno by Tobu Sky liner. That means in your two days, we experienced all three choices of transportation between Tokyo and Narita by car, two different train companies, which is the first time in my guiding career. Thank you again for giving me such unique opportunity. Leaving your hotel, we moved to Shibuya by Yamanote Line. We walked the famous Shibuya Crossing and enjoyed Sushi dinner. It was lucky for us to enjoy our 2day-tour under comfortable weather. When you have next chance to visit Japan, I am very happy to join your family again. Regards, Arigatou! Shin
