Meeting Point
Your hotel, ferry terminal, or the closest station in Tokyo, Yokohama
- I will meet you with a red cap and a meeting board.
Imperial Palace
After general presentation of Japan, we will move to Imperial Palace by public transportation.
Imperial Palace, ex Edo castle, has been the political center in the Japanese history more than 400 years. It is two times bigger than Tokyo Disney Land.
We can walk to the main gate of Imperial Palace, where you can take a memorial photo with a beautiful background of the Edo castle.
Tsukiji Outer Market, Ginza & Lunch
We will move to Tsukiji Outer Market & Ginza.
Tsukiji is one of the busiest Japanese retail markets where you can find variety of fish, meet, vegetable etc. of Japanese cuisine. There are good Japanese Sushi restaurants which use fresh materials from Tsukiji.
Ginza has been recognized as the most reliable and established shopping area for 400 years. You can find worldwide top brand shops and department stores not only for Japanese but also foreign guests.
Tokyo Tower and Zojoji
Tokyo tower was built in 1958 before the first Olympic game held in Tokyo, 1964. Its height is 333 m and the second highest tower in Japan. It has a nice observatory from where you can enjoy beautiful scenery of Tokyo City and if the weather is good, we may watch the top of Mt. Fuji on your west.
Zojoji is a historical temple built by Tokugawa Shogunate next to Tokyo Tower.
Shibuya
Move to Shibuya and walk through Shibuya Crossing. You can watch within one traffic signal, nearly 3000 people try to reach opposite corner, no clashing each other, using steps, dodging etc. Finish would be a good Japanese restaurant for dinner.

Most of sightseeing places are free of charge.
If you have a particular interest in museums, I will check it for you.

Nezu Museum : 1,500 yen etc.

As for transportation, I will propose to use public transportation of JR or subway mainly.

“Yokohama City Highlights”
Once again Shin hit it out of the park! Started our morning with a short walking tour around Yokohama Port Bay with a stop at the observatory. Then off to the British Consulate Museum and Gardens! Both were Awesome! Then it was off to the Sankeien Japanese Gardens! Spectacular! You would never know you're right in the middle of a busy city! Next came a short walk in Yokohama's Chinatown to an awesome, authentic Chinese Restaurant! Finally it was a well calculated drive to the Haneda Airport where Shin took us to another Observatory and final chance to do a little shopping. All of the above was put together by Shin, even the hire of the Limo, the cost of which was very reasonable. Thanks kindly again Shin for guiding us around your beautiful country!

“My daughter was right.”
During a long layover in Tokyo ten years ago Shin escorted newlyweds for a day. That was so memorable that she was able to remember and recommend Shin for us, 14 and 17 y/o boys, mother and 80 y/o grandfather. She wasn't wrong. Delightful day. He taught us the ropes of the transportation system. We saw a number of areas from quiet religious sites to bustling shopping thoroughfares. Perhaps most impressively was Shin's ability to respond to an "out of the blue" request to visit an unplanned destination. He adjusted the tour by getting us to that spot and another nearby area without any qualm whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Karey san, M-K san, Thank you for your kind review. We started tour from Ryougoku, Sumo town, located west-north of Tokyo. At the Ryougoku station, we can find Sumo Exhibits like the actual size of Dohyo, Hights and handprints of big wrestlers, Portraits of tournament champions etc.. We walked around Sumo stable area, then went into Sumo Museum at National Sumo Areana, Kokugikan. Moved to Edo-Tokyo Museum where exhibits good summary of 400 years history of Edo & Tokyo. We had a short walk to Yasuda Garden Park, which was an old Japanese local lord residence in Edo. Used subway to Asakusa, we enjoyed beautiful Tempura lunch at a historical restaurant, Sansada, whose started its business in 1837, older than your country establishment. Enjoyed walking Nakamise, Sensoji, shopping streets in Asakusa. Final destination was Ueno, where we enjoyed firstly Edo area, Kaneiji, Toshogu, then secondly Meiji Tokyo area, International Library of Children’s Literature, beautifully reconstructed by Tadao Ando.
