Hello, potential tourists!
I'm Yuko, Yokohama local tour guide with English government license.
I have been living in Yokohama for 40 years, and have been working in Tokyo for 35 years; 20 years as a business person,10 years as a teacher, then I became a tour guide in 2015.
Yokohama is a major port city, and the 2nd largest city in Japan.
It is one of the most popular sightseeing spots for Japanese tourists as well.
However, for non-Japanese guests who are to experience things unique to Japan,
without a tour guide, it could not be so stimulating, - a beautiful harbor, traditional garden, fashionable shopping mall, which could be likely to appear not so different from Tokyo, or other Western or Asian port cities.
Actually, Yokohama is very special for Japan !
Without Yokohama, Japan would not have been developed into what it is now!
Would you find real attraction of Yokohama with me ?
Also I'm familiar with Tokyo, an urban city and Kamakura, an ancient city.
See you in Yokohama, Japan!

Kamakura City Walk - Highlight of Kamakura (7 hours)
“Love Yuko!!”
Four of us spent the day with Yuko and every moment was enlightening and fun. She goes above and beyond to look after her guests. She delivered a personal note to us the day before to our hotel room. She came a long distance out of her way (from Yokohama) to get us in the morning, was here and ready vary early, and had tremendous energy and enthusiasm about the places we visited. She took pictures of us everywhere and promised to send us the link to access them. She gave us a souvenir of the day with her. She had wonderful visual aids prepared to explain this legacy and history of the many spots we visited. We insisted on her return home and return to Tokyo which was way out of her way and she didn’t wanted to leave us alone. We highly recommend Yuko to anyone interested in visiting KAMAKURA. Great guide. Great location selection. Great advance communication ahead of the day so she could be prepared and provide us options. Great person. …and in a side alley we could have never found on our own, she got us to the best Ramen restaurant in the region, which was fantastic. Thanks Yuko!!

Yokohama City Walk - Highlight of Yokohama (7 hours)
“Yokohama Fambam”
This is our 10th visit to Japan and our 1st time to see Yokohama. We are fortunate to have discovered Yuko-san as tour guide for our family trip to Yokohama. Yuko-san made our family trip a truly memorable experience. We loved how knowledgeable and well organized she is. She sent us email messages with useful information weeks prior to the trip. She dropped by our hotel one day before our scheduled tour and left with the hotel concierge a handwritten welcome note with a detailed itinerary. On the day of our tour, Yuko-san and a colleague, Tatsuo-san arrived 30 mins early to welcome the group. The entire tour lasted for almost 8 hours and we enjoyed every minute of it. What endeared Yuko-san and Tatsuo-san to the group was their patience and attentiveness to the needs of the group. They are the most caring tour guides we have encountered in all of our trips to Japan. We highly recommend Yuko-san and Tatsuo-San as tour guides for Yokohama.
