Hello. I am Keiko, a nationally licensed tour guide for English-speaking tourists. I love traveling to new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people. When I was young, I embarked on a long journey to explore more about my life. I settled in a small town in Illinois, USA, enjoying a new life while studying at the state university, and then moved to Florida to work for a while.
After coming back to Japan, I have been working in downtown Tokyo since 2008, mainly as a translator and sometimes as an interpreter in various fields, including central government offices, TV stations, and a university. Seeing the increased opportunities around the Tokyo Olympics 2020, I transitioned into the tourism industry and am currently working as a tour guide, basically giving day tours of downtown Tokyo, Fuji & Hakone, Kamakura and Nikko.
I love meeting people from different backgrounds, talking with them, and learning new things. That's why I enjoy hosting guests from abroad who want to explore Japan. Many local people helped me during my journey, and now it's time for me to give back. Come and meet me here; I will show you around amazing places in Japan.

“Such a great experience!”
Keiko is a wonderful guide - my wife and I spent a whole day with her and managed to do much without ever feeling rushed. She is knowledgeable and flexible and just a very pleasant person. If you're looking for someone in Tokyo I highly recommend Keiko!

Thank you for your kind review. I truly enjoyed showing you around. You and your wife were so friendly and kind, which made my job much easier. This evening, I was able to see a perfect view of Mt. Fuji from my home again. I hope you’ll also have a chance to see a beautiful one from the bullet train on your way to Kyoto. If you ever come back to Tokyo, please let me know. I’d be more than happy to show you around again.

“Two Days with Keiko”
We had a fantastic two days touring with Keiko — the east side the first day and the west side the second day. Since this was our first trip to Japan, she made sure that she included a great deal of history and Japanese culture. We felt very well educated when our time with her was over. We believe we hit all the areas that mattered. She even took us shopping and went over and above by making a reservation for us at a high end restaurant, and made sure we got there. We felt like we got the full Tokyo experience — every thing from the food, to the subway and taxis, and even the mass of people crossing the street. The only downside was the constant rain—but she did not control that. We just took that as another facet of life in Tokyo. We highly recommend her! Thank you, Keiko. Howard & Ann

Keiko T.
Howard and Ann, thank you very much for your kind review. I truly enjoyed spending time with you. I believe you had quite a unique adventure here in Tokyo. As you mentioned, the weather wasn’t great, and we couldn’t see anything from Tokyo Skytree — which, by the way, was a first for me as well! Perhaps because it was a busy weekend, everywhere we went was crowded and sometimes difficult to walk through. But through that, you were able to experience just how large and densely populated Tokyo is. Each of these moments made your trip truly unique and original. I hope they will all remain wonderful memories for you, and I’m very glad that I could be a part of them.
