The Tsukiji wholesale market moved to Toyosu in 2018, but the 83-year-old outer market is still very busy and attracts many people. We will walk around the outer market for shopping, snacking, and having breakfast.
Meiji Jingu Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Established in 1920, the shrine's expansive grounds are mostly dense woods, intentionally cultivated to protect the main shrine structure. Meiji Jingu Shrine stands as an oasis in the heart of a bustling metropolis. As you stroll through the grounds, you can immerse yourself in a spiritual atmosphere.
Shibuya Crossing is the most famous crossing in Japan and one of the most photogenic spots for tourists. People love to film the motion of pedestrians crossing the square. At this intersection, people come and go from all directions without bumping into each other. We will also enjoy viewing this intersection from a higher vantage point in the surrounding buildings.
The Kaminari-mon Gate of Sensoji is one of the most photogenic spots in Tokyo for tourists, making it a must-see location without a doubt. Along Nakamise Street, you'll find numerous souvenir shops offering great gifts for your friends and family.

“Interesting, vibrant and fun. ”
Keiko met us at our hotel as I have a walking issue so she kindly changed the tour for us. She showed us some amazing shrines and temples, a market and here she carefully explained some of the foods. She was very caring and considerate and tried to find places that were conducive to me. She kept us interested and had a great sense of humour. We loved our tour with her and would highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in the Japanese culture as well as the sights. She has a vast amount of knowledge that she so keenly shared with us. Thank you keiko.

(3 reviews)Dear Jose Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m glad to hear that you all enjoyed your time in Tokyo despite the extremely hot weather and the packed schedule. I truly enjoyed spending the past two days with you and your family, exchanging cultures between Japan and the U.S. I hope we can meet again someday, perhaps during the cherry blossom or autumn leaves season. Next time, I’ll take you to see the beautiful Mount Fuji.
“A Memorable Tokyo Adventure with Keiko”
Thanks to Keiko, our Tokyo adventure was truly unforgettable! From the beginning, her meticulous research, excellent communication, and outstanding service made all the difference. As first-time visitors eager to make the most of our short time in Tokyo, we needed someone who could guide us smoothly and tailor our experience to our interests. Keiko delivered on all fronts, helping us plan every detail perfectly, and we eagerly anticipated meeting her. Our days in Tokyo were packed with excitement and discovery! Staying in Akihabara, the Anime district, allowed us to immerse ourselves in its vibrant and unique atmosphere. We explored the bustling Tsukiji Outer Market, enjoyed a peaceful stroll through Meiji Jingu Shrine, and visited the quirky shops in Harajuku and upscale Omotesando. Shibuya Crossing thrilled us, and Shinjuku’s energy was electrifying. We visited Sensoji in traditional kimonos, took a rickshaw ride, and experienced a calming tea ceremony. Asakusa’s unique shops were a highlight, and our sushi-making class was a fantastic addition. We checked off a bucket list item with a magical day at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, and enjoyed an iconic karaoke session in Shinjuku to cool off. The stunning nighttime views of downtown Tokyo from the 45th-floor observation room were breathtaking. We also marveled at Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi, including a scenic boat ride and visits to Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, Fujiyoshida Honmachi-dori, and Oshino Hakkai. Ending with a 7-course dinner at Kobegyu Sumibiyaki Steak in Ginza was the perfect conclusion to our adventure. Not only did we have an exceptional tour guide, but we also gained a dear friend. Thank you, Keiko, for making our trip so special and memorable!
