“Amazing Introduction to Yatai and Fukuoka”

We came out of the tour not only well-fed after sampling some Fukuoka specialties, but also with a better understanding of local history and Japanese culture thanks to Morry, who was a perfect guide. He picked stalls that gave us a variety of options while he kept us thoroughly entertained with his conversation and a bit of impressive magic. The 2.5 hours flew by because it felt more like having a good extended meal with a friend than being taken on a tour. Thanks to Morry, we were able to enjoy conversations with other customers and communicate with the yatai owners. Morry made sure to provide us with interesting background information about yatai, specific dishes, the area, and Japanese culture in general, but always in the course of conversation rather than as a canned lecture. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour and would welcome the chance to hang out with Morry again. Logistically, his communication was clear and consistent from the moment we booked the tour. We received messages about the proposed itinerary, meeting possibilities, directions, and even suggestions about other things we could do during our stay. The whole process was seamless and always personable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

“Amazing time in Takachiho Gorge with Katsu!”

We had a wonderful time with Katsu on our road trip to Takachiho Gorge. It was the perfect relaxed schedule that allowed for last minute changes and just amazing views and experiences. Special thanks to Katsu for securing a boat for us at Takachiho Gorge in advance of the trip (amazing he was able to do it!!) and being unflappable when my daughter had a (very unwarranted) panic attack over going near the volcano (thank you, Katsu!!). It was an absolutely lovely day - we couldn’t have asked for more. I highly recommend this tour and highly, highly recommend going with Katsu on it. You will have a wonderful time!

“Very accommodating and knowledgeable!”

Morry san took us around itoshima and planned the itinerary based on what we wanted to do. It was unfortunate that one of the places we wanted to go to hadn’t opened yet, but Morry san immediately found us an alternative solution. He is extremely experienced and well travelled, so he has many stories to tell not just about the places we are visiting but other countries or parts of Japan as well! Additionally he shows us magic tricks that astound us in the pockets of time that we are waiting. I highly recommend him!
