I used to work for multinational companies and served as an interpreter for several years and travelled around Japan with coworkers. After having lived in Tokyo for some decades, now I live in my hometown, Fukui where you can have a great experience of Zen buddhism in the head temple of the Zen sect, Eiheiji which was founded in 1244. Fukui Dinosaur Museum is very popular regardless of age. It is one of the world's three largest dinosaurs. Echizen is also well known for Japan's handmade crafts including kitchen knives, washi paper, lacquer wares, Tansu chests and pottery. Seeing craftsmen's work right in front of you makes you excited and impressed. I have been travelling Kanazawa since my high school age so I know well about the town to show you around as well as Shirakawago, a day trip from Kanazawa. I am originally from the Philippines and I've been living and working in the Hokuriku region for almost 7 years. I definitely consider Kanazawa as my home in Japan. Kanazawa is known for many things including gold leaf, a rich samurai history, its beautiful gardens, delicious seafood, and historic Geiko (Geisha) culture. I would love to introduce these things and so much more! Did you know Kanazawa is also home to the oldest sake brewery in the region? What about the local ceramics and laquerware? You can also participate in different workshops like traditional Japanese sweets-making class, gold leaf pasting, Kaga-yuzen (local kimono brand) painting, and sushi-making using local ingredients. There are many beautiful known spots and a lot of hidden gems in the area and I can't wait to introduce them to you. One of my hobbies is photography and I will surely capture your moments in the city to make your stay extra memorable. I'm excited to meet you in the Golden City, Kanazawa.

“Excellent 6 hr + 3 hr tours in Kanazawa”

Splitting our Kanazawa tour into a three-hour afternoon session on arrival and a subsequent six-hour tour proved to be a perfect decision for my wife and me. This approach ensured we could thoroughly experience all the major highlights of Kanazawa without feeling rushed. We were incredibly fortunate to have Yukari as our guide. Her warm personality, good English, and impressive knowledge of Kanazawa's history and attractions were invaluable. “A kind and attentive guide who made us feel welcome”

We spent one and a half days touring Kanazawa with Haru and truly appreciated her punctuality and sense of responsibility. When we arrived at our ryokan on the first day, she was already there waiting for us, which made us feel very welcomed and well taken care of. Haru was knowledgeable about the main sights, and she made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour. Overall, it was a pleasant and enriching experience.
