“Selfless guide to work with”

I was unable to do a tour directly with Nori san, but he took it upon himself to act as the middleman and facilitate a tour with a friend of his not yet on gowithguide who turned out to be an excellent guide for our group. Nori was an easy and eager guide to communicate with and plan out a detailed and personalized itinerary. I felt that this was particularly kind and unexpected since it was for a tour that would ultimately be hosted by someone else! It was much appreciated.

“Kyoto Highlights”

We were very lucky to have Koichi give us a tour of some of the highlights of Kyoto. Koichi is kind, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about Kyoto, it history, the shrines and the temples. Koichi crafted a perfect itinerary for us and he is an excellent guide. I would highly recommend touring with Koichi if you have the chance. Koichi also shared with us his fondness of sake and we shared a bottle of "natural" sake that he picked out to cap off the day.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of spending a day in Kyoto with Fumi as our guide, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Despite our last-minute booking the day before, Fumi graciously accommodated our request and made everything seamless from the start. We chose the “Kyoto’s Must See Attractions and World Heritage Sites in One Day” tour, and Fumi truly delivered. Fumi met us promptly in our hotel lobby and, from the moment we started, treated us not just as clients but as friends. Her warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm made us feel instantly at ease. What truly stood out was her depth of knowledge—she shared fascinating historical and cultural context that brought each site to life and helped us appreciate the temples, shrines, and traditions of Kyoto on a much deeper level. Beyond the information, Fumi’s genuine love for Kyoto and passion for her work shine through. She tailored the day to our pace and interests and made thoughtful recommendations. We even enjoyed a delicious lunch at Tofu Restaurant Matsugae together. Fumi's kindness is heartfelt, and her attention to detail ensured we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had spent the day with an old friend who just happened to be an expert in all things Kyoto. Fumi is not only an incredible guide, but a truly lovely human being. Booking a tour with her will not just enhance your experience—it will be one of the highlights of your trip.

Thank you so much for a wonderful review. I'm very happy that you enjoyed the tour. Alicia and her husband were the most caring and great couple I've ever met. I love Japan, especially Kyoto, which has a long history. So, in my tours, I try to convey as much as possible what kind of country, philosophy, and culture Japan has.
