Nagano is a cozy city surrounded by a beautiful mountain range. Hello! My name is Takeshi. I am a National Licensed Guide Interpreter in English. I was born in Tokyo. I worked for Canon for more than 30 years including a 5-year assignment to the U.S. office. Before joining Canon, I received a master's degree in engineering in the United States. After retiring from the company, I began working as a volunteer guide for foreign visitors in Kamakura and Yokohama for a while. However, I became fascinated by the beautiful nature of Nagano prefecture and decided to move here to the Yatsugatake Mountains, 1000m above sea level in Nagano a few years ago. For more than 40 years, I had done sales activities with foreign semiconductor companies using English language. I have homestayed in Los Angels for a month and in Oakland New Zealand for a week. I have welcomed an American teacher in my house for a week as a homestay program. I have passed the examination of Tour Guide in 2016. I have teached the skiing in Shiga Highland Ski Resort, Happo-one Ski Resort and Iwatake Ski Resort. “Resourseful, friendly, and great energy!”
Masa is amazing. He went out of his way to help us feel comfortable like preparing a picnic, choosing a quiet place with a great view, and taking us to places that were mostlty visited by locals. He always did his best to accomodate our needs and was very efficient driving. It felt like doing a tour with a friend who we knew from many years ago. We hope to come back to Japan and do another tour with him <3

“One with nature”
Togakushi Shrine was in our bucket list and we managed to go there with the help of Emi. Emi was patient and replied back to all my questions prior to our trip. She also tried her best to explain things about the sites (Tokagushi and Zenkoji Temple) we went to. The highlight was the walk in the snow covered cedar tree lined pathway. It was beautiful. Thank you Emi for making our trip memorable

“Snowshoeing in Togakushi shrine ”
We had a blast snowshoeing with Kouhei our wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He was responsive and accommodating to accept our request for our available date. It was our 2nd time snowshoeing after our first in Hokkaido. Hike to togakushi shrine was fun and manageble. We even had local speciality soba at a resturant recommended by Kouhei. Overall highly recommend Kouhei if you're looking for snowshoeing experience. Thank you for the wonderful experience to finally see the amazing giant cedar trees at togakushi shrine. Take care.
