Around Ohori Park, there are a lot of tourist spots where you can experience Japanese culture and green-rich nature. The 2-kilometer circular walkway is full of people who enjoy running, walking and catting. It is nice and cozy place.
Subway Ohori Park Station
- Fukuoka Airport station to Ohori Park Station takes 24 minutes and costs ¥300 (almost 1.9$). There is only one ticket gate at Ohori Park Station. I will be waiting at the station.
Ohori Park and the adjacent Maizuru Park are very large(Twice the size of Tokyo Disneyland) and full of attractions. I'll introduce the entire course and adjust it as needed to suit your preferences regarding walking distance and content.
The Nakano Island Walk, which runs through the center of the water, is a shortcut to the Japanese garden and offers a view of the entire park on both sides.
The Fukuoka Art Museum, known for its distinctive exterior of red brick and glass, houses about 16,600 items. Its collection includes artifacts from the Kuroda family, the feudal lords of Fukuoka Castle, Buddhist art, antique tea ceremony utensils, art related to Kyushu from modern times onwards, and modern and contemporary art from both Japan and abroad.
At Gokoku Shrine, deep in a quiet forest filled with the fragrant scent of wood, there is a vast plaza. At the far end of this plaza stands the shrine building, with wings spread wide.
Kōrokan was a diplomatic facility from the Asuka, Nara, and Heian periods (approximately 600 years from 593 to 1185 AD), and the ruins of Fukuoka Castle are the remains of the Kuroda family's castle, feudal lords during the Edo period (approximately 270 years from 1600 to 1871). The site features beautiful stone walls and a natural environment that attracts many wild birds and butterflies, providing a long-standing place of relaxation for Fukuoka citizens. It is notably vast, often causing tourists to get lost. I will guide you on the shortest route to your destination.
