Osaka Castle
The five-story castle is one of the most visually spectacular creations in Japan with a history that dates back almost 450years.
The main keep of Osaka Castle is not the original from feudal times but rather a reconstruction, which was built in 1931. Nevertheless people in Osaka are extremely proud of it because it was constructed through donations from the citizens of the city.
Donations were collected about 70 billion yen in today’s money in only half a year.
Vistors to Osaka Castle can enter inside,and you can catch a breathtaking view of the surrounding area on the top floor.
Dotonbori
Osaka’s hotspot for tourists .
Dotonbori is filled with towering neon signs, 3Dsigns, bars and restaurants serving up local specialities.
The origins of the Dotonbori area date back to the early 1600s, when a local businessman widened the banks of the Dotonbori River in the hopes of increasing commercial opportunities.
