In front of the main entrance of Osaka Takashimaya in Namba

- Meet outside the main ground-floor entrance of Osaka Takashimaya, connected to Nankai Namba Station. The department store will still be closed at 7:30 AM, so please wait outside near the large TAKASHIMAYA sign. I will be holding a GoWithGuide sign with your name.

Sennichimae Doguyasuji Kitchenware Street

Walk through Osaka’s famous kitchenware district before most shops open. Discover the tools used by Japanese chefs and learn why Osaka became known as Japan’s kitchen.

Kuromon Market

See Kuromon Market as vendors begin preparing for the day. Learn about seasonal ingredients, seafood and the market’s role in Osaka’s food culture. This is a walking and cultural visit; food tasting is not included.

Hozenji Temple and Hozenji Yokocho

Visit the atmospheric Hozenji Temple and its moss-covered statue before exploring the narrow stone-paved lanes of Hozenji Yokocho. Hear stories about Osaka’s merchant culture and traditional entertainment district.

Tour Important Information

This is an early-morning walking tour covering approximately 2–3 kilometers. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

Many shops in Doguyasuji and Kuromon Market may still be preparing or closed during the tour. This is intentional: the experience focuses on the peaceful atmosphere and seeing the neighborhood begin its day.

This is not a food-tasting tour. Food and drinks are optional and are not included in the tour price. Guests may order at the café at their own expense.

The planned café is Hoshino Coffee Dotonbori, which currently opens at 9:00 AM. The café may be changed if it is unexpectedly closed, full or otherwise unavailable.

The tour generally operates in light rain. Please bring suitable rain protection when necessary.

This early-morning tour normally starts between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. The exact time can be adjusted after booking.
