Hello everyone! I was born and raised in Kawagoe, a historic city next to Tokyo in Saitama. Two years ago, I graduated from a university in Japan, and now I work as a tour guide and study abroad support advisor. Three years ago, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Vancouver, Canada. During my time there, I was warmly welcomed by the locals, and I discovered the joy of immersing myself in a new culture and daily life. I also learned the value and excitement of connecting with people from different backgrounds. That’s why I now want to be the one to support others. As a guide, I aim to make your journey even more special! Through Go with Guide, I want to offer more than just the typical sightseeing experience—I want to provide unique opportunities for you to dive deeper into Japan’s rich culture. I am committed to creating a safe, thoughtful, and enjoyable experience for everyone. Let’s not just visit Japan—let’s feel it. Join me on an unforgettable journey, and together, let’s embrace the true beauty of Japan! I look forward to meeting you!

Hi there! I’m Armand. Living in Nagasaki since 2016. I am living the best and most relaxing life on my permaculture homestead in the hills of Nagasaki, where you get the best views in Japan. I love my town. As a dancer and actor I love telling stories too. And there a so many great stories to share about all the interesting people that once dwelled in this adventurous town full of historical intrigues. Want to experience the rich Nagasaki culture? Eat the freshest fish of Japan? Make the most beautiful photos of hidden treasures and landscapes? Come and explore the town together with me. My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. I love to watch baseball games, so I enjoy talking about them with guests from countries where they are popular. I am a volunteer medical interpreter and can respond to visitors' sudden health problems.

Hi! I'm Sho! I live in the center of Nagasaki city and work as a YouTuber, podcaster, and tour guide specializing in sharing the charms of Nagasaki. Actually, I was born and raised in Yokohama, near Tokyo, and worked for about 5 years in Tokyo. However, I fell in love with the culture and history of Nagasaki and moved here in 2020. Nagasaki has a rich history of international exchange and friendship, established about 450 years ago as an international trading port in Japan. Since then, many people from all over the world with diverse cultures and values have visited this city. I love these stories and histories of Nagasaki. Nagasaki is often associated with the sad history of the atomic bomb, which is, of course, an important part of this city's history, but Nagasaki has much more than that. I'm looking forward to introducing you to the many charms of Nagasaki!

Hi, don't you interested in hidden gems in Kyoto? I will unveil the true essence of Kyoto exclusively for you. I'll take you to spots that locals love, away from the crowds, so you can experience the authentic Kyoto. If you seek hands-on experiences or desire a tranquil journey to appreciate the beauty of Japan, please join me. I studied in Switzerland from 2021 to 2022, during which time I visited many European art museums, so I understand what people look for in sightseeing. About me: I practice Chado (Tea Ceremony), Kodo (Incense Appreciation), and Ikebana (Flower Arrangement), . I possess a sake sommelier certification. I hold a wine certification. Just one favor: please don't post about our adventures on social media. Many of the places I take you to are not equipped to accommodate foreign visitors due to language barriers. Kumamoto Tour Guide - Steve R.

Steve R.

Japan

Hello! I'm Steve and I’m originally from Sydney, Australia, but I’ve lived in Kumamoto City for the past 28 years. I’d love to take you on a tour of some of the region’s most historic and stunning sites. I took my profile picture on the balcony of my home, which sits high on a hill, offering great views of the city both day and night, with majestic mountain ranges in the distance. I was a school teacher here for 25 years, starting in Japanese public schools before transitioning to an American institution. I understand that when traveling abroad, many people prefer a local tour guide. While I wasn’t born in Japan, after nearly three decades here, I consider myself as local as it gets! Not only can I share insights about the local culture, but I can also offer a unique perspective as a foreigner who has grown to love this country as my own. With our comfortable 4x4 full leather interior SUV, we’ll explore hidden gems that typical tour buses can’t reach, making your experience even more special. On our way to the sites, I’ll describe anything that catches your eye so you don’t miss a thing. I know that returning back from a great trip can feel like the end of something special, so if there’s anything I can do to make the ride more enjoyable, just let me know. On the way back, feel free to play any music you like on the BOSE sound system in the car.

Kanagawa Tour Guide - Yuki I.

Yuki I.

Japan

Zögern Sie also nicht, mir Ihre Wünsche mitzuteilen! Und noch etwas: Entschuldigen Sie, wenn ich manchmal ein wenig Schwäbisch spreche – den Grund erfahren Sie während meiner Tour! -------------------------------------------------------------- I was born and raised in Japan and later moved to Germany. From 1998 to 2021, I lived in Germany. For me, Germany is like a second home, full of wonderful memories. As an experienced simultaneous interpreter for German/Japanese (for 16 years) and English/Japanese (for 5 years) , I am constantly moving between cultures. That’s why I’m even more excited to introduce you to my home country—in your language! The great thing about a private guided tour is that it can be tailored to your preferences. So please don’t hesitate to let me know what you’d like to see and experience! Hiroshima and Miyu-the perfect duo

We spent an amazing day with Miyu in Hiroshima last Sunday. We recommend her as a Guide who is very informative and extremely knowledgeable and most of all she is so engaging and brings Hiroshima to life. Miyu had planned everything so carefully with a lot of thought. Miyu understands Hiroshima not only from living there for many years but also from working with survivors. We had many happy hours together. You would lucky to have Miyu as your Guide.

Miyu F.

Thank you very much for your generous review. I appreciate you choosing Hiroshima as your destination. I hope many people will come to Hiroshima and join us in reflecting on world peace. It was a pleasure to enjoy the majestic scenery of Miyajima Island and the local food of Hiroshima with you. I wish you both happiness from Hiroshima.

Review on day trip in Shiga region (Lake Biwa)

My best friend and myself were lucky enough to secure kanae to be our guide. She was very friendly and did a great itinerary with little notice. Despite weather was not the best, we had a great time visiting hikone castle and walked around local town, in addition we were taken to shinmachi area with preserved and restored old house. We were lucky to be able to view exhibition of dolls for “girls festival”. She also took us to la Collina bakery as a surprise. It was like a futuristic building. She was very kind, professional and considerate. We had a great time discussing different interesting facts and challenges within Japan. She was kind enough to give us tips of places to visit the following day and we ended up going to a special exhibition featuring lights and shadows of flowers and butterflies. We would definitely ask for her again if we ever want to visit this area again.

Kanae O.

Amanda, thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure guiding both of you through Hikone and Ohmi-Hachiman, despite the weather. I’m so glad you enjoyed the tour. It’s great to hear that my recommendation helped you for the beautiful light and shadow exhibition the next day. I’d be delighted to guide you again if you return—there’s always more to explore!
