Basic concept of this tour is to cover all the key sites of Tokyo. You will see both the old and new faces of Metropolitan Tokyo. Tokyo has a unique and dynamic history after its designation as Japan's capital in 1868. This tour is based on public transportation, so it will involve some walkings. Regardless of the season, I will include the seasonal beauty of Tokyo for your best pleasure.

For the public transport, the total cost should be minimal such as Yen 2000 for all day per adult. So, if walking is no problem, I would recommend the public transport and walking. Above tour plan is based on the idea of using public transport. (I would like to ask you to reimburse this Yen 2000 for me also.)
If you need a hired vehicle for any reasons, you could book a car or a van through Triple Lights. The standard cost for a hired vehicle would be approx. Yen 7000 per hour. This way, your mobility will be easier compared with the public transport and walking but of course, it will cost more.
It would be impossible to overstate just how much we enjoyed the company of Tom. His English is excellent. He was nice enough to explain not just what we were seeing, but the meaning behind what we were seeing. He explained during the day a lot of nuances about Japanese history and culture that made many things in Japan much more understandable. His suggestion for lunch venue was excellent. He explained how the trains work within Tokyo which made a difference for the rest of our stay. He also offered some really useful suggestions for further things to see as he got to know us. Nothing was too much trouble. By the end of the day, we felt as though he was an old friend rather than someone we met for the first time that morning. We highly recommend him.
Great guide and nice person. Modified trip to our needs. Highly recommend
Richard from Tom, Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate you for helping me to try my best to give you my best. My service would be the reflecting of how nice of the people you are. In that context, I learned a lot from you - how to be nice with others. I will miss you and will be hopping I will guide people like you in my next assignment - maybe someday I will guide YOU again! My best wishes for you!!!
We spent two days exploring the many sites that Tokyo has to offer with Tom. We covered 23 miles over these days, utilized public transportation, and experienced things of historical, religious, and cultural importance to the city of Tokyo during this time. From the Shibuya Crossing to the Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, Tokyo Skytree, Ginza, The Imperial Palace, and so much more, we greatly enjoyed our tour and felt that we got a good grasp on the key sites and neighborhoods of the greater Tokyo area. Tom is not only a great guide, but a great person as well. Before arriving in Japan he ensured the itinerary covered what we wanted to see, helped answer any questions we had about our trip, and inquired about any dietary restrictions before booking meals for our tour. He met us at the train station in the mornings, and ensured we made it back to our hotel each night. He is fluent in English and was able to easily communicate with us, also helping translate as needed. He was knowledgable on most major topics, but willing to admit when he wasn't completely sure on an answer, giving us his best guess anyway! He was very patient with our family, open to moving at our pace, and willing to help out with our two year old however he could (holding his hand, carrying him, etc.). We learned about his personal life including his family, his dog, and his love for the game of golf, all of which made the two days spent with him even more personable and fun. We would highly recommend Tom as a guide and look forward to returning to Japan in the future to tour more of the country with him!
To Grant, Natalie and Holcomb from Tom, I want to thank you for your kind and generous review. I have certainly tried my very best in my guiding this time and the biggest reason of why I could do so was because of the wonderful guests - you !!! You really helped me to help you to spend a good time during the tour and you have consistently been kind and thoughtful. During the tour, I noticed that you really care about others, which you may not be really aware as you do so unconciously. You have a wonderful character of naturally caring about the people without even thinking about it. I feel so lucky that I met you. It really was fun to be with Holcomb. You will be enjoying every moment as he healthily grows up. Please do enjoy and cherish every moment of it !!! I hope one day again, I will see you and your family when Holcomb grows up to the next stage. He may enjoy Toyota Car Museum where he could enjoy driving a small car and obtain a "child driver's license" with his picture and printed name at Odaiba "Mega Web" and/or Digital Art Museum, etc. I will be wishing nothing but the very best for you and your beautiful family. Thank you very much for planting a great optimism in my heart that "a new meeting can be a woderful one". I really appreciate you. Sincerely, Tom
