Mount Mitake, Mount Otake and Mt. Nokogiriyama One Day Hike
“Hiking the mountains outside Tokyo Centre”
An early start & a trip by train into the countryside. I saw snow capped Mount Fuji for the first time ever. The weather was glorious: clear blue sky & sun giving the best light for the spectacular views from the mountains tops of Mount Fugi the city scape of Tokyo & the glowing autumn colours of the trees. Leaving the station we made our way across the river looking down on the cool campers to start our first ascent through the cedar forest passing 2 shrines including the Atago shrine, piling our stone on the peak cairn. We were so lucky as we had the place to ourselves. Moses had had planned the route in meticulous detail breaking it down into achievable bite size chunks. We shared the lead to keep the pace, stopping for water and the most spectacular views. Mount Fuji looking glorious with its snow peak under crisp clear blue sky. Climbing up to the second & third peak, Mount Nokogiriyama, Mount Otake again we were rewarded with breathtaking views points. We refuelled along the way & talked about the adrenaline filled joy of the adventure. Moses has the most amazing skill of keeping me motivated to make the climbs. I was offered a choice of route to include mountain waterfalls; a no brainer & off we went. I was so happy to see the crystal clear falls so important in the religious meaning to this sacred area; as Moses explained. We made our to Mitake Shrine with the chance to make a wish. Having taken in views of the metropolis of Tokyo city, awesome and sounded by a forest of towering trees, peaks & ridges. Making our descent by cable car was a final chance to experience the autumn colour under sparkling light before catching a bus & the train to the centre of Tokyo. What an experience to treasure for life. Moses & I shared a diner of grilled meats rice & ramen chatting over the most wonderful day I remember forever. So lucky.

“Best Nature and Mountains Adventure”
Moses was amazing. He helped plan my trip to make it work well for us. I went to Tokyo with my 13year old son and after spending a week in the city we planned a trip to Minikami in the mountains with Moses. It was amazing we went rafting - the rapids were not to big for us so it was perfect. We swam in the beautiful deep pools in the river and we went on the most amazing rope way to the top of a mountain. We then stayed the night in an ancient traditional ryoken which was incredible and bathed in the outdoor onsen. Moses was fun to be with, he was generous with my son and very accomodating when we changed plans when we needed to. This tour was the highlight of our whole trip to Japan. If you want to go hiking, experience nature and see the beauty beyond the tourist spots I would recommend booking with Moses 100% - than you for making our trip amazing.

“Excellent guide and great company ”
We started the day heading to Mt Fuji from Tokyo. A public holiday. What a traffic jam for 40 km. Moses was calm and smooth. So many examples of just how well he knew the area. Such a special Lunch. Follow his suggestions. I had seriously injured my knee a few yams earlier. He amended the itinerary to save me too much waking. And great conversations. Just book him

Thank you so much for your generous and kind review Michael. I am happy that you had a great experience in our trip. It was a blessing for me also to meet you and take words of wisdom from our conversation along the way of the tour. Haven't felt like it was a work for me but an experience meeting you with lots of intellectual ideas. Hope this is not the last but just a beginning. Looking forward to work with you again in the near future. God bless you.
