This tour takes you out of the city by car for a scenic and invigorating hike to Mt. Tsukuba in Ibaraki. You’ll enjoy forested trails, panoramic views, and the rewarding feeling of reaching the summit.

Depart from Akihabara heading to Mt. Tsukuba Trailhead
Travel time approximately 2-2.5 hours.
Start Hiking
Route: Shirakumobashi Course
Elevation Gain: Nyotai San 877m , Nantai San 871
Hiking Time: 110mins ascend, Descend 90mins
Mt. Tsukuba Summit
Rest and take in the panoramic views.
Lunch
Get lunch at the summit observatory deck
Descent
Option 1 hike down the mountain 90 mins
Option 2 ride cable car. 10mins
Depart Mt. Tsukuba and head back to Tokyo
Travel time approximately 2-2.5 hours

Tour Important Information
REMEMBER:
1. Joiners must be physically fit and healthy. Get enough sleep before the scheduled hike. If you have an underlying condition or special condition please let me know before joining.
2. This tour is time-bound so we will strictly follow the timetable. One of the main reasons is that we have to catch the train going back to central Tokyo. Train services in the countryside are very limited.
3. All expenses are not included in the tour guide fee. Prepare extra money for the expenses during the hike. Ex. Food, Transportation, Souvenir, Etc.

“Amazing Tokyo Tour”
My husband and I took our first trip to Tokyo and asked Moses to be our guide on the first day. He took us on an all day tour of many famous neighborhoods as well as hidden gems that aligned with our special interests. He was so kind and helped us to learn the train system so we would be prepared for the rest of our trip. The next day, Moses picked us up for a hike up one of Japan’s famous mountains. We felt immediately comfortable and welcomed and learned so much. Not only did Moses take wonderful photos, he also made us a video of our first few days that is truly a treasure. I highly recommend asking Moses to introduce you to Tokyo!

This is a one-day 3 peaks hike covering Mt. Nokogiriyama (1,107m) , Mt. Otake (1,266m), and Mt. Mitake (929m). It is approximately a 4-6 hour hike with a series of up-and-down mountain trail hikes.
