Kobe is the port town and has imported various culture from various foreign countries which has made Kobe fashionable and exotic town. Kobe is surrounded by mountains and th sea and you can enjoy both Kitano area on foot of mountains and port area.

Kitano Ijinkan: To move to Kitono Ijinkan (Western style residence built mostly for early foreign settlers during Meiji era.) by bus and see there.
In Kobe’s leafy Kitano district, more than 100 foreign-style homes were built in the early 20th century. Western goods and ways of life had entered to Japan through the port of Kobe. A community of foreigner had built their Western-style homes in the Kitano district. As such, Kobe has become the city which have people felt “exotic” atmosphere.
Kitano Tenman shrine deify Michizane Sugawara who was the patron saint of study.
Kitano Tenman shrine deify Michizane Sugawara who was the patron saint of study.This shrine was built in 1180 by Kiyomori Taira who was the top worriers in Heian Era. The main hall of this shrine built around 260 years ago has been registered as National treasure in Japan. You can see beautiful overview of Kobe from the hill side of this shrine.
Kobe port pier: To move to Kobe port pier by bus and see there.
The port of Kobe was opened around 150 years ago. Since then, this port has been spoken very highly by foreign sailors in the world. From the port, you can see Akashi-Kaikyo bridge which is the highest suspension bridge in the distance to west and steep Rokko mountains in front of you.
Meriken park: To move to Meriken park by walking and see there.
In Kobe sea shore spot, there are lots of symbolic buildings such as Kobe port tower, Kobe Maritime museum, Kawasaki world and so-on.
Kobe port cruising: To enjoy cruising around Kobe port area
You can enjoy the sightseeing cruise service departure from Meriken park with viewing around to see the port and Akashi-Kaikyo bridge.
Kobe port tower: To see and enjoy Kobe port tower.
From Kobe port tower observation floor, you can see overview of Kobe mountains, town and
sea with 360 degree panorama.
Kobe harbor land: To see and enjoy shopping and amusement in Kobe harbor land.
This harbor land has a big shopping complex with various shopping, gourmet, movie theater and amusement space.
You can feel Kobe as a combination town of sea and mountain with walking around the land by being exposed to the sea breeze.
