Keiko did an excellent job of guiding our family of 8 around Kyoto. Our ages ranged from 12 years old to 85 years old. We saw the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nijo Castle, Golden Pavillion, Gion and Kenninji Temple. At the end of the day, Keiko also arranged for a nice, private tea ceremony. We were able to stay on schedule with the use of a taxi. She provided a good overview of each site that we visited. We enjoyed the detailed explanation and tour of Gion. For lunch, Keiko reserved a couple tables for us at a local restaurant. I thought that was a nice touch because we didn't have to wait for a table. Perfect! She has a very pleasant and upbeat personality that made the tour enjoyable.
Dear Jeffrey, I am really glad to hear from you. Firstly, I would like to say thank you for giving me so enjoyable time with your big family. It was my unique experience where I offered the tour in English and in Japanese(in the Kyoto dialect) at the same time. I also enjoyed the conversation on American and Japanese school systems with your kids. As you mentioned, we could maximize our tour by taxi. Thanks to that, we could visit more sites, have a nice time at the tea ceremony in one day! I hope this tour will remain in your heart. When you have a chance to come back to Japan sometime, please let me know. I am willing to guide you more in Kyoto. Lastly, thank you very much for choosing me as your guide. I offer my very best wishes to you and your family in the US and Japan. Best regards, Keiko
We spent three full days in and around Kyoto. On our first day, we wanted a tour guide who could introduce Kyoto to us, so that we could spend the next two days touring on our own. Keiko was absolutely terrific! She was extremely knowledgeable and taught us as much about Japanese culture and how to get around Kyoto as she did about the various sights we saw. Keiko is highly recommended!
Dear Brad, Thank you so much for your comments. I am happy to know that you enjoyed Kyoto with me and by yourself after my tour. I also appreciate your flexibility and understanding of my availability. Thanks to that, I was able to attend my kids’ music festival. In the tour, we visited a lot: Kinkakuji, Ryoanji, Arashiyama including the Bamboo Forest and Gion. I hope every site will be memorable for you. When you miss Japan, please come back to Kyoto. I will be looking forward to seeing you again sometime. Lastly, thank you very much for coming to my hometown all the way from the US. I offer my best wishes to you and your family. Best regards, Keiko
Great tour guide. Our family spent two days touring all over Kyoto, including a bike ride. She was very well organized, spoke excellent English, and taught us everything we wanted to learn during our visit. Highly recommend touring with Keiko. You will not regret it.
Dear Mark, I am really glad to hear from you, thank you very much. Thanks to your cooperation, we could make it to all of the sites on the itineraries in two days. I was really happy to show you the different kinds of beauty of Kyoto, like Arashiyama, the Golden/Silver Temple, Fushimi Inari and Gion etc. At the last moment, you showed me the photo mentioning “I love Kyoto”. That was the word I wanted to hear since that means you fully enjoyed my hometown. There are lots of other beautiful sites in Kyoto, I will be looking forward to guiding you in those sites again some time. Lastly, thank you so much for coming to Kyoto and choosing me as your guide. I wish all the best for you and your family. I also appreciate your English lesson! Best regards, Keiko
I highly recommend Keiko! She possesses all the characteristics you would want in a guide...she was polite, pleasant, organized, thorough, patient, knowledgable...and genuinely concerned with our happiness! She made our time in Kyoto a pleasant and memorable experience!
Dear Jim, Thank you very much for your kind words. I really enjoyed those three days with you. You taught me a lot about your city, the entire US and English itself culturally and linguistically. I liked your French lesson, too. That was really interesting. In Kyoto, you especially focused on the Higashiyama area where I grew up. I was glad about that. I hope you enjoyed Arashiyama, tea ceremony, shopping and Japanese food as well. Lastly, thank you so much for coming to Kyoto and giving me your precious time. I wish all the best for you and your family. Best regards, Keiko
