About Tour Guide Niko T.
KONNICHIWA!!
I’m Niko!
I’ve lived in Australia and worked at the Osaka Expo 2025.
Through those experiences, I met people from all over the world — we hung out together, and I loved taking them to hidden local spots that tourists usually don’t find, like cozy cafés, local restaurants, and beautiful nature spots.
I’m a very friendly person who loves learning new things. I enjoy not only sharing unique and lesser-known sides of Japan, but also hearing stories about your country and anything you’d like to talk about!
I’m a big FOODIE! (Please go to my galleries!)
Please let me make you try my favorite Japanese foods!!
I also love taking a pictures and will always bring my camera with me, , so I can take beautiful photos of you during the tour — and you’ll get them on the spot as a little gift !
Providing warm hospitality to people is truly my joy.
You won’t regret joining my tour — I promise!
Can’t wait to meet you soon!

“Local delights”
Having been to most of the touristy places in Osaka I decided to hire a guide to show me the hidden gems of Osaka that only a local would be familiar with. This was my first time ever hiring a guide and it definitely didn't disappoint. Niko has such a bright and cheerful personality that it was easy to get along. Her command of English was amazing so for those of you who worry about language being a barrier, have no fear. She brought me to an authentic Japanese lunch place which was popular with the locals and the food was superb. We then proceeded to a museum as I wanted to lean more about Osaka's history and we had a fun time discussing about it. This was followed by a nice stroll around the Castle grounds and Niko so kindly accommodated my request for a coffee break by bringing me to a nice local cafe for some much needed caffeine. As the sun was about to set, Niko then brought me to a nice spot only a local would know to see the city view from up top. Seeing the city skyline with the streets lit up was definitely a sight to behold. The last time on the tour menu was dinner and Niko chose a nice Udon spot to end things of. All good things must come to an end and having wrapped up dinner it was time to part ways. I really enjoyed my tour with Niko and if you're ever looking for a guide who's friendly, accommodating and kind and will give you her all to ensure you enjoy your time in Osaka I can't recommend her enough. Niko has definitely made my trip a memorable one. Thank you Niko and hope to see you in my next trip if you'll have me again.

“The entire day ”
I booked a customised personal tour with Nico because I just arrived in Osaka and wanted to switch my brain off and absorb the culture, food and sites of Osaka without doing any pre-planning. Because of Nico-chan's love for walking, nature, food and having lived in Australia is knew there would be a natural connection and shared interest. Nico gave me a personalised tour throughout all of Osaka while also giving me opportunity to learn about the towns history, landmarks, food and culture. Which are all things I love. I also tried some of the best food I'll ever eat (Hamburger and Japanese style pastries) which are 2 things i would never had done without Nico-chan. If you want a tour guide who speaks fantastic English, will take the stress out of planning a day for you. Understands Osaka, Kyoto and the surrounding area then you're in for a real treat if you book Nico-chaaan ~

“A warm and unforgettable experience ”
I hired Nico for a day of relaxed touring in the Kyoto area, with a focus on slower travel so I can soak in the experience and not necessarily needing to hit all the hot tourist spots. I specifically mentioned liking nature and food that is unique, better if it offers a twist on a traditional dish. Nico put together a custom tour for me and communicated everything clearly, I was excited to start. When Nico and I met, I knew I would get along with her sunny upbeat energy. Her English was fantastic which made her a joy to talk to. We exchanged language and culture, and she was spot on in understanding what I wanted out of both the food and the cultural experience. We tasted my favorite dish in Japan so far - a duck meat soba noodle shop that was highly popular with the locals. Nico made me feel like I could turn my brain off and just enjoy seeing the city as she expertly navigated the roads, plus the train to kifune shrine and got us front row seats to the beautiful view of the autumn leaves … honestly she nailed all the important stuff. What stood out most about my experience with Nico is that she naturally exudes warmth and kindness, paired with a sharp intuition and planning skills, she not only knows how to provide just the right touring experience you’re looking for, but makes you feel like you’re seeing the city with an old friend. That sort of natural talent is hard to find, and I’m confident she can provide an unforgettable tour experience to just about anyone. I will definitely contact her again. I give her a 10 out of 10 and will be recommending her to all friends and family visiting the Kansai area. Arigatou gozaimasu Nico for in incredible day!

Tour of Osaka-jo Castle
(Highlights) The present castle building looks beautiful, powerful and in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. However, it was the venue of hegemony, bloody conflicts and natural disasters for many centuries. Once you visit the castle, you will be amazed at the magnificent structures, huge moats and the beautiful natural environment. The view from the top of the eight-storied donjon is splendid. You can reach there either by going up the steep stairways or taking an elevator ride. The castle is in the heart and the landmark of Osaka city, where many modern buildings stand. (How to enjoy) You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the one-kilometer road leading to the castle after you get off the train and, once inside the precincts, you cannot spare even a moment without marveling at the sight of an ancient technology and human wisdom, as well as the huge rocks building up the protection walls. Not only seeing the buildings, you can also sit on the grass and enjoy having lunch with your family members or friends. (Others) The entrance fee is 600 yen per person and the JR Osaka Loop Line train fare is 300 yen for the ride from Osaka to Osaka-jo-koen station. The fare for the ride between Kyoto and Osaka, meanwhile, is 510 yen.
