Takaozan

Mt. Takao is about an hour from central Tokyo. The mountain owes it popularity to its ease of access and abundance of nature (the number of native plants is about 1,600 species. Which is roughly equivalent to number of unique flora found in the UK!)

In recent years Mt. Takao has become the world's most visited mountain with 3 million visitors a year. Mt. Takao is full of attractions, including Yakuo-in temple which has a history of more than 1000 years, a cable car that boasts the steepest slope in Japan, a wide variety of trails for all your trekking needs, and gourmet shops that carry local specialties such as Tororo Soba.

The secret to Mt. Takao’s success is that even absolute beginners can enjoy the mountain and its subtle moods. Beautiful nature such as autumn leaves, Summer’s fresh greenery, diamond Fuji in December, the stamp rally, Setsubun in the Spring, Yakuo-in events such as fire festivals, and various group events are also a major pull. All of these things mean that you can enjoy Mt. Takao all year long!

Meiji Jingu

A shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. One of Tokyo's leading shrines, where millions of people visit at the beginning of the year.

Various festivals are held throughout the year, and wedding ceremonies are held before the shrine.

The current main shrine was rebuilt in 1958 after being destroyed during World War II. You can feel the power that permeates your heart with its rigorous style and appearance.

“Wonderful tour!!!”

During our Kagoshima tour, the driver kindly explained about Sengan-en Garden and Sakurajima Island using Google Translate so that we could fully enjoy and understand the experience. I truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and effort to make sure nothing was lost in translation. He also recommended a wonderful Wagyu restaurant, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. The meal was unforgettable, and it felt like we were being treated with great care. More than anything, I was deeply touched by the warmth and hospitality we received throughout the day. Thanks to his kindness and dedication, our time in Kagoshima became not only enjoyable but also truly memorable.

“Excellent tour ”

Despite the heavy rain the day before, which caused parts of the highway to be closed, the driver quickly arranged an alternative route and still made sure we could visit Kumamoto Castle. I was very impressed with his professionalism and care. What made the trip even more special was the sushi restaurant he recommended — it turned out to be a real hidden gem and absolutely delicious. Thanks to his thoughtful guidance, the whole experience was smooth and very satisfying.
