I was born and raised in Kawagoe, a charming historic city located just next to Tokyo in Saitama Prefecture. Two years ago, I graduated from university here in Japan, and I now work as both a tour guide and a study abroad support advisor.
Three years ago, I had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Vancouver, Canada. The warmth and hospitality of the locals left a deep impression on me. I can recommend you delicious foods & drinks and order it for you, so you can take the stress out of language barriers. Also during the bar hopping, I can show you nice places in Shinjyuku.

You want to experience Izakaya like locals? Are you a little reluctant to drink in Shinjuku Kabukicho or the youth town of Shibuya? If so, I recommend Ginza, Yurakucho area! The area has some different profiles. There are deep izakaya alleys underneath the JR railways that retain a postwar atmosphere and also high-end streets where the district became first westernized after the Edo period. You can enjoy 2 very different types of drinking spots while touching about the history.
