“Shizuko went ABOVE and BEYOND!”
From the moment we met Shizuko she was easy to get along with and we knew we’d have a fantastic day in Tokyo. She messaged me on WhatsApp before she arrived. She provided me with a map of the Tokyo metro along with maps of Ginza and detailed instructions on how to reach all the spots we had tickets for on the days we weren’t with her. If it wasn’t for her, we would’ve been lost in the labyrinth that is the underground. She explained everything very thoroughly, circled spots on the map and wrote our excursion names at the corresponding metro spots. I pretty much mastered the Tokyo metro because of her extremely detailed and very thorough instructions. We covered a lot of ground with her and she provided customs and historical information at sites she took us to. She planned a sushi spot for our lunch so we weren’t standing around figuring out where to go for a party of 8. We were very happy with the sushi. She adjusted timing as needed when we wanted to stop to shop a bit. She even took us to get SUICA cards for the kids and helped us get 48-hour metro tickets for the duration of our time in Tokyo. This was something above and beyond what I expected a guide to do. Even after we parted ways, she messaged every day we were in Tokyo and even called one day to ensure we knew how to get to our excursions, took pictures of what to look for, altered directions as needed, etc. As I mentioned she went way above and beyond. She was STELLAR and it provided us such a great start to our first visit to Japan! We loved our time with Shizuko and HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a great guide experience in Tokyo! And her English was great! She also took many pictures of us and for us and sent them all via WhatsApp soon after we departed! I cannot say enough great things about her. BOOK HER and look no further!

Dear Zalina, Thank you very much for your great and heart felt review for me. I’m really glad to receive it. I’m so happy to know that you were able to get to TeamLab, Ginza Mitsukoshi Aquarium, Tokyo Red Tower Digital Adventure and many other places by yourselves on your free days in Tokyo. It’s amazing that you really understood/mastered Tokyo’s transportation network well and worked as a leader of the group of 8 people including 3 small children. My ideal guide is that everyone, who participate my tour, can freely enjoy Tokyo sightseeing by themselves after the tour. Before starting the tour, I thought that the little children would be a little tired because of the walking distance, but no way, they were more energetic than adults. By the way, how was Osaka? Did you try Tako-yaki (Octopus balls)? Osaka has full of charms that are different from Tokyo, and other cities as well. If you have a chance, please visit Japan again in the future. It was really nice meeting all of you !!! Thank you again, I was encouraged with your review very much. Kind regards, Shizuko
