Shopping in Ginza for Tokyoite use in their daily lives & Handmade chopsticks experience
The biggest advantage of having me as your private guide is that I can simulate life as if I were a local. For example, we can show you the tools and fashions that Japanese people use in their daily lives. You will be captivated by the delicate and hospitable lineup of Japanese products. And don't worry about getting lost in the complex train lines; you can explore Tokyo like a local, using the subway and other means.

Handmade chopsticks experience
Chopsticks have been the preferred utensil in the kitchens and on the tables of East Asia. Although they share the same basic shape across the region, there are subtle but important differences in materials and designs between countries.
Traditional Japanese chopsticks are made of coated or polished wood. A lacquer called "urushi", derived from tree sap, is the traditional coating with synthetic resins also being used in modern times. Polished chopsticks are uncoated to highlight the natural wood grain. Japanese chopsticks are pointier than in other countries as there are many dishes which benefit from higher precision, such as those with lots of small fish bones.
Let’s make your own chopsticks from the selection of the wood! It must be a great memorize with your lovely Japan travel.

About Tour Guide Mai N.
Hi,
I have taken over 100 tourists on in-depth local explorations of Tokyo. My specialties are gourmet food and seasonal events. Temples and shrines are great, but why don't you come and enjoy the scenery and cuisine that Japanese people are crazy about these days?
Besides being a guide,I also study architecture as a hobby over the past several years.
That’s why I registered on this platform to create an original tour featuring architecture and latest trends for local.
Historical Japanese structures such as World Heritage is amazing, but
Japan has many wonderful contemporary structures like shrines and museums, which is designed by various architects.I hope to show them with my tour.
I was born in Hokkaido and it's been about 10 years since I moved to Tokyo area.
I have always had a strong admiration for Tokyo, and have been exploring various attractive spots around the city.
That's why I'll not only guide you to the main tourist spots ,but also arrange unique experience according to your preference :)
=====
Traveling gives me a chance to get to know how other people live, their culture, and discovering new places . This is why I work as a guide, my goal is to give guests a real "local experience"--like what I've experienced on my travels so far.
Don't worry if you are not good at English.
Unfortunately, I can only speak Japanese and English, but I will do my best to make your tour as satisfying as possible using gestures and various other ideas.
Hope to see you soon!

“Excellent guide around Tokyo and accommodating ”
Mai was very knowledgeable and helped us on our first full day in Japan. After a 14 hour flight and 12 hour difference we wanted the help of a local to direct us around. Her recommendations were excellent and would highly recommend booking with her, including the komodo rental and photo shoot suggestions. Even after we accidentally left an item at the rental shop she was quick to help us get the item back. Navigating the train stations can be a challenge, especially with jet lag, but again having Mai as our guide proved wonderful. Thank you again for a wonderful walk around this fascinating city. Best!
