Hello, I am a retired captain of a commuter airline, with over 40 years of experience and over 22,400 flight hours focused on providing safe and comfortable travel. I have had the opportunity to visit various countries, including Japan, the United States, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and the Philippines. After retiring, I worked as a volunteer guide for city walks in Kagoshima for eight years and obtained my certification as a certified guide for the World Heritage Sites in Kagoshima Prefecture. The joy of traveling overseas is getting to know different cultures, languages, and the unique lifestyles and food cultures of the people. However, what is most valuable to me are the memories made meeting people during travels. During my career, I focused on safely and comfortably transporting passengers. I was born and raised on the Osumi Peninsula in the eastern part of Kagoshima Prefecture. In elementary school, I walked 4 km one way to school. I used to fuss with the neighborhood children about the kappa (a well-known Japanese specter, water imps) in the creek. In summer, I drank from the freshwater flowing into the eel pond on my way home and picked wild strawberries to eat. I aim to be a guide who can provide such "unique" and exciting experiences that I cultivated as a child. I am a local, and I can give you a guide who understands the area. I have a husband, a son, a daughter, and two cats. My home is in a rich natural environment, and in early summer, you can hear the call of the ruddy kingfisher!

“Amazing Day in Kagoshima ”
We had a great day with Hitomi , she took us to the hot Sandbath which was a very enjoyable experience. After that we preferred to do a green tea experience which was very fun , followed for the Kamikase museum and the Samurai Gardens . And the lunch was amazing !!! Steamed vegetables and three cut of beef . I can’t recommend enough to book a tour with Hitomi, she took care of every aspect of our tour including to book private transportation for the five of us . Thank you Hitomi!!!
