Nagano is a cozy city surrounded by a beautiful mountain range. In March 1983, I graduated Chiba university. Major is psychology. In April 1983, I entered a manufacturing company of semiconductor components and I was assaigned to the overseas sales dept. For more than 40 years, I had done sales activities with foreign semiconductor companies using English language. I had visited foreign customer companies located in several foreign countries on once a month basis. I have stationed myself in Singapore and Malaysia for 5 years. I have homestayed in Los Angels for a month and in Oakland New Zealand for a week. I have welcomed an American teacher in my house for a week as a homestay program. I have passed the examination of Tour Guide in 2016. I have teached the skiing in Shiga Highland Ski Resort, Happo-one Ski Resort and Iwatake Ski Resort. I had guided bus passengers(most of them were Austllarian people) at the bus terminal in Hakuba-Happo. I am now teaching junior high school students English grammar.

Joetsu was the former capital city of Echigo Province until the mid 19th century. It has a lot of historic sites and scenic spots, and most of all good people. I love my city very much. I worked for the Joetsu City office for over thirty years. During my time there, I was in charge of international relations for about ten years. After retiring from the office, I began working as a licensed tour guide. I am very excited to introduce my city to people all over the world.

“Resourseful, friendly, and great energy!”

Masa is amazing. He went out of his way to help us feel comfortable like preparing a picnic, choosing a quiet place with a great view, and taking us to places that were mostlty visited by locals. He always did his best to accomodate our needs and was very efficient driving. It felt like doing a tour with a friend who we knew from many years ago. We hope to come back to Japan and do another tour with him <3

“One with nature”

Togakushi Shrine was in our bucket list and we managed to go there with the help of Emi. Emi was patient and replied back to all my questions prior to our trip. She also tried her best to explain things about the sites (Tokagushi and Zenkoji Temple) we went to. The highlight was the walk in the snow covered cedar tree lined pathway. It was beautiful. Thank you Emi for making our trip memorable

“Snowshoeing in Togakushi shrine ”

We had a blast snowshoeing with Kouhei our wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He was responsive and accommodating to accept our request for our available date. It was our 2nd time snowshoeing after our first in Hokkaido. Hike to togakushi shrine was fun and manageble. We even had local speciality soba at a resturant recommended by Kouhei. Overall highly recommend Kouhei if you're looking for snowshoeing experience. Thank you for the wonderful experience to finally see the amazing giant cedar trees at togakushi shrine. Take care. Apology for late review as we just got back yesterday from trip.
