Hi I’m a friendly Australian living in Japan for 20 years. I work as a Kindergarten teacher here so I design my tours to be very Family Friendly: stress free for the parents and exciting for the kids. I particularly love to make little packs filled with goodies for the kids so they can experience what Japanese kids do. I want my guests to experience a real Japan and I love teaching Japanese to the little ones. * Children with special needs and/or mobility issues are especially welcomed. I can make accommodations and plan a tour based on their unique needs.

Japan

Hi there! My name is Haruka. I just back from a big journey in Sydney, Australia! I love to travel and try new experiences. I visited Hawaii, Bali, Bangkok, Taiwan, and all around Australia! Also, some parts of Japan. However, I was born, and raised around Tokyo(I moved different area when I was young). I love animals, beaches, snorkels, free diving, nature, coffee, yummy foods, and sharing different cultures! Before I moved to Australia I worked as a Paediatric Dental Hygienist then moved to Australia I did a few different jobs such as Au pair, waitress, dental assistant/receptionist etc... Once I got back to Tokyo, I was thinking so much that what I want to do and what I’m good at. I like to show and explain to people and I also realised how amazing Japanese culture is when I see it from outside of Japan. So, that’s the reason why I started this guide job! As I mentioned I did work as a kid's dental hygienist and babysitting job so, I’m very keen to take your family on my tour (of course I’m happy to take any kind of group though). My tour style is very open so if you can’t find exactly what you want to do or something you don’t want to do which includes the plan I’m more than happy to make a special plan for you just shoot me a message! I’m looking forward to showing you around my favourite area of Tokyo!

Japan 2024

We just got back from our holiday in Japan and quite honestly, we couldn’t have had a lovelier time if it weren’t for our guide Tomoko. She made our first two days in Tokyo so enjoyable. Her kind disposition, her excellent communication skills in English and her ability to get us from place to place understanding our itinerary and our interests (2 adult parents and 2 university age daughters) at our pace was invaluable. Don’t hesitate to book Tomoko as your guide! She took time to explain local traditions and customs, took excellent photos of the family and managed to keep us on schedule so we could see and do everything we wanted including eating and shopping along the way.

I'm so glad to hear you had a wonderful holiday, Andrea. Thank you for writing this excellent review just after returning from the trip. I love the photos of us enjoying the market and of me leaving the misfortune I took:) Your husband, Doug, knew very well that you had spent a lot of time researching and preparing very hard for your family, and his first wish was for you to spend some special time yourselves. It was a real pleasure and a privilege for me as a guide to be with you all considerate each other and to spend two very enjoyable days. Thanks to Sydney and Emma, I enjoyed going to shops I wouldn't have gone to on my own. Thanks for broadening my horizons. I wish you and your family once again a happy and healthy 2025. Thank you.

Knowledgeable and Punctual

I had a great time with Moses. We were able to go see a lot of places in a short time. His grasp of history of Japanese culture is impeccable. I am looking forward to my next trip to Japan with him as my guide again. Highly recommended.

Friendly Guide, but the Tour Could Be More In-Depth

We recently toured Tokyo with Noriko and found her to be a kind and helpful guide. While there were some positive moments, the overall experience could have been more engaging. The itinerary included stops at the Imperial Palace, Edo-Tokyo Museum, and Asakusa. We chose to skip the Edo-Tokyo Museum since it would require a half-day to properly explore, and we felt it wouldn’t be the best use of time with a guide. At the Imperial Palace, we only viewed the exterior, with limited explanation or interaction, which left us wishing for more depth and context. On the plus side, one of us wasn’t feeling well during the tour, and Noriko went out of her way to help us find a pharmacy for medicine, which we greatly appreciated. Afterward, she took us to a fantastic lunch spot that lifted our spirits and made for a pleasant conclusion to the day. Noriko’s English was conversational but not always clear, which occasionally made it challenging to follow her explanations. Despite this, her kindness and willingness to assist stood out. With more detailed storytelling and deeper engagement at each stop, we believe her tours could be even more enjoyable for future clients.

Robert S.

Noriko O.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. It's really treasure for me. I'm so grateful you had a great time after that.
