Starting from Asahikawa , you can visit Patchwork hills, Blue pond, Tomita lavender farm, Furano winery and Furano cheese factory.

Meeting Point
Asahikawa Station east gate or your hotel in Asahikawa
- I will be waiting for you in front of the east gate or your hotel lobby in Asahikawa.
Patch work road
Driving on the Patch-work-road, you can take a picture of Seven star tree, Ken and Mary tree.
Blue pond
Take some pictures of magnificent view of the blue pond.
Shirahige falls
See an interesting water falls, a cluster of ground streams that gush out of the cliff-side. In winter it is iluminated and so beautiful.
Farm Tomita
Enjoy your lunch with fantastic views of the largest lavender field in Hokkaido and beautiful flower garden. You can also try lavender flavored soft served icecream.
Furano winery
You can taste wine made from grapes produced in Furano.
Furano cheese factory
The cheese factory is surrounded by white birch trees, and you can see the production room and aging room through a glass window.
You can try some icecream and buy souvenirs.

About Tour Guide Mayu A.
Hi, I am Mayu. I speak English and Spanish (for guiding my Spanish needs to be polished. But I can communicate). I have had experiences as a tour leader for groups of Japanese tourists to foreign countries and foreign tourists in Japan, Tokyo, Osaka. Kyoto, Hiroshima, Kanazawa and many other cities.
I live in Hokkaido. My tours are around my city, Asahikawa. But I can customize your plan and take you around Japan. (Please let me know 2 weeks before your plan.) Even if my days are not available on my calendar, I could arrange them for you. So please ask me for my availability.
I like hiking and cycling. Also you can experience calligraphy, green tea ceremony, Japanese drum, Ainu weaving or cooking, dog sleding so on. If you are interested in those things, I will make a plan for you.
I am looking forward to showing you around Japan.

“Amazing Biei and Furano experience”
Mayu was a great guide for our family tour. Mayu was a wealth of knowledge of the different areas we visited and made the experience so much more enjoyable. It was also great to have a guide that spoke English very well. We visited Ningle Terrace, the Blue Pond, Shirahige Falls, Ken and Mary tree, 7 Stars tree, and it was great to hear the history of how they became famous landmarks. Also the recommendations for where to eat was greatly apprecaited! Mayu was very accomodating and arrived early so that we could start the tour without any delays. I would highly recommend using Mayu for your tour of the Furano and Biei.

Thank you for your great review about the tour. After going back home, there were a few things I regretted like I should have brought a sleigh for the kids or I wish I could have a better story telling. “A truly amazing guide Asahikawa to Furano !”
Highly recommend Mayu for an unforgettable tour! We traveled from Asahikawa to Furano with Mayu, and she made the entire journey incredible. She shared so many stories about the area and Japan. What we appreciated most was her patience and flexibility. We took a lot of photos, and Mayu never rushed us; she gave us all the time we needed to capture the perfect shots. She was also incredibly attentive to everyone’s needs. When she realized we needed to pick up dinner, she proactively offered to stop along the way so we could get takeout, even though it meant she had to wait longer. Half day tour of Biei from Asahikawa
Starting from Asahikawa Station, you can visit Patch work RD, take some pictures of Seven-star tree, Ken & Mary tree. Next drive to Blue pond. Take a little walk and enjoy the magnificent view. After that visit Shirahige falls and finally to Tokachidake Bogakudai observation(only in summer ), enjoy the view of Tokachi mountain range and a panoramic view of Asahikawa and Furano. From Asahikawa to Shiretoko
Starting from Asahikawa, you can visit Sounkyo, a sunflower field(only in summer), Road to the sky, Oshinkoshin water falls, Shiretoko five lakes（only in summer） and Shiretoko pass. Enjoy great view of vast Hokkaido. This tour ends in Shiretoko. Note; You can visit Sounkyo ice falls festival instead of Shiretoko five lakes and Shiretoko pass in winter.

From Asahikawa to Lake Shikotsu, Noboribetsu & Lake Toya
Enjoy a long drive with a vast view. First you can visit a sunflower park until（ the mid-Aug.), next, Lake Shikotsu, Noboribetsu where you can see active volcanic areas, Hell valley and mud pools. Lastly visit Lake Toya. You can take a gondola and see a great view from Mt. Usu. Stay in Lake Toya area and enjoy fireworks at night.

[ **Japanese drum experience is available from Monday-Thursday.] First, visit Asahiyama Zoo which shows habitants of animals as wild as they are. Then learn about Japanese sake and enjoy tasting. Lastly, play and feel Japanese soul. You can learn how to play Japanese drums at drum school with the biggest drum in Hokkaido (made of 800 year old tree). At the end, you can have a drum session with instructor. You'll be surprised how hard you can hit it and at its vibes.
