Nishiki Market is called Kyoto's kitchen where you can enjoy lively market specializes fresh seafood, kitchen tools, and so on. The best thing is you pick up what you like and enjoy at the site like a standing bar.
Yuzen-zome, or Yuzen-dying was invented by a fun painter Miyazaki Yuzen. His technique features drawing starch frames on silk fabric. The line prevents the color from going over another lines, which allows you to color directly in those lines.
TARASHIKOMI is another style used for Japanese painting. Inventor is Tawaraya Sotatsu who lived in around 15th to 16th century. His famous piece is Fujin-Raijin-zu byobu, translated into wind god and thunder god on the screen. He used his style depicting the clouds under Rraijin. Doing this he presented the natural gradations and intensity of colors.

Although it was a short interaction, communicating with Ms. Minori was a breeze. I will hire her again for my future travel engagements. I highly recommend her service.

“2 day Kyoto tour”
Despite facing delays and rainy weather during my two-day guided tour of Kyoto, Minori went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience. Their flexibility and quick thinking allowed her to make alternative arrangements, adjusting our itinerary to make the most of our time despite the rain. One of the highlights of the tour was our visit to the local market. Despite the weather, Minori made sure we had a memorable experience exploring the bustling stalls and vibrant atmosphere of the market. Their knowledge of the area led us to discover hidden gems and unique finds, allowing me to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Throughout the tour, Minori was incredibly welcoming and friendly, creating a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere despite the challenges we faced with the weather. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience truly special, and I left Kyoto with fond memories thanks to their guidance and expertise.

(3 reviews)Hello Jay, it was my pleasure I could help you shop and enjoy market! Did you successfully purchase tea powder in Tokyo? It was a shame we couldn't go to Arashiyama to see beautiful bamboos but let's do that next time. Please tell your family and friends to come to Japan so they can feel and see what you saw with me, not just tracking your Instagram;))) Have you a great day and see you again!
“Special Request for Shrine Visit and Prayer”
I asked Minori to accompany us to a traditional Inu no Hi prayer for safe childbirth at a local Kyoto shrine. She was super easy to communicate with, extremely accommodating and made the whole experience an absolute dream. Since this was a shrine in a residential area they didn't speak English and Minori helped us with filling in the form and communicating with the shrine staff. During the ceremony she took the the most lovely photos of us. After the prayer she accompanied us to look around the shrine and shared bits of information with us. It was an all around lovely experience and we are so glad we booked Minori for this. She is truly such a kind and pleasant person and we cannot thank her enough for accommodating our special request. Arigatou gozaimasu!
