Starting in Tsukiji and continuing through Ginza, Marunouchi, the Imperial Palace area, and Jimbocho, we walk through markets, elegant streets, historic gardens, and cultural neighborhoods. Meeting Point
Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple
- At the entrance of Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple, beside the large stairs near the main hall. Please enter through the main gate; I will be waiting on the left side of the stairs. A unique Buddhist temple with an uncommon architectural style, blending Japanese and Western influences. It’s a calm starting point to introduce Japanese culture, spirituality, and the history of the Tsukiji area.
Tsukiji Outer Market
We walk through the market exploring its history and curiosities while sharing local tips. Along the way, we try local food, take pictures, and visit shops, including tea stores, Japanese knife shops, ceramics, and traditional crafts.
Ginza
Tokyo’s most elegant shopping and business district. Ginza represents modern Japan, with wide streets, luxury stores, and impressive architecture. We explore the area while learning how it developed into one of the city’s most prestigious neighborhoods.
Marunouchi & Tokyo Station
Walk through Marunouchi, Tokyo’s main business district, located between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station.
See Tokyo Station, with its iconic red brick building, the heart of Japan’s railway network. Learn how transportation, city planning, and daily life are connected in this area.

Imperial Palace & East Gardens
Walk through the Imperial Palace East Gardens, built on the former grounds of Edo Castle.
Enjoy a peaceful green space in the center of Tokyo while learning about Japan’s imperial history and modern era. Time for rest and photos.
Jimbocho Book Town
Explore Jimbocho Book Town, Tokyo’s famous district for second-hand bookstores, publishers, and historic cafés.
This cultural neighborhood offers a calm atmosphere and insight into Japan’s academic and literary traditions. Optional coffee break or light lunch.

My tours focus on creating experiences through walking tours. We explore different neighborhoods, visit markets, enjoy local food, go shopping, and experience everyday Japanese life in a natural and relaxed way.
All itineraries are flexible and adapted to each guest’s interests, whether that includes food, shopping, culture, neighborhoods, traditions, or daily life in Japan.
I help with language barriers, local etiquette, customs, transportation, and everyday situations that can be confusing for visitors.
I have a strong passion for sports and offer sports-focused experiences, such as running routes around Tokyo. We can explore the city through parks, riversides, and local areas. I also guide hiking and trail experiences near Tokyo, for example, Mount Takao.
I speak Portuguese and English and would be happy to guide you during your visit to Tokyo.

I will guide you around the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace where Edo Castle was built. You can enjoy contrast of modern and old Tokyo! Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building, designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan, recently underwent renovation to restore the station to its pre-war glory. I will show you red brick station and Marunouchi featuring many historical buildings. This tour will help you understand Japanese history especially about the Edo period about 400 years ago.
