Hello! My name is Kody.
I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and during my student years I lived in Shiga for four years.
After graduating, I spent a year in Vancouver, Canada, on a working holiday. I worked as a server at a sushi restaurant, where I had many chances to talk with guests who loved Japan, and also to learn about Canada from them. Those exchanges were truly meaningful to me, and now I’d like to take on that role here in Japan—sharing my country with visitors and helping them create lasting memories.
I DO love watching soccer—especially Manchester United—and I also like beer and whisky.
Tokyo is a world-famous metropolis, but beyond its well-known landmarks, it is full of hidden gems that are less crowded and waiting to be discovered.
I’d be delighted to explore Tokyo together with you and do my best to make your trip to Japan an unforgettable experience!
If our schedules align, I’d also be happy to guide you around Hiroshima—my hometown—as well as Kyoto, Osaka, or Shiga, where I spent a lot of time during my student years. Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested!
I am really looking forward to seeing you soon:)

“Amazing tour! ”
I had the pleasure of exploring Tokyo with Kota, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He was incredibly respectful and attentive, always listening to what we wanted to see and adjusting the tour seamlessly along the way. From the moment we met, he made us feel welcome in his country and even greeted us with a thoughtful hand-drawn gift, which was such a personal and memorable touch. Throughout the day, he shared not just well-known highlights but also hidden gems and experiences we would have never found on our own. His knowledge of Japan’s history and culture is outstanding, and he explained everything in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. If you’re looking to experience Tokyo in depth, beyond the typical tourist trail, this is the guide you want. Highly recommended!

Dear Damien and Anna, Thank you so much for joining the tour! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed visiting the hidden gems we explored, they’re some of my personal favorites as well. :) Please make good use of the chopsticks and chopstick rests at home! I hope that every time you use them, they’ll bring back fond memories of this trip. Thank you again, and I truly appreciate it! Kody
