The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live now. We'll move around the city with a Bunkyo City Community Bus, B-guru ( “beagle”, the mascot character of the bus), and visit Edo-Tokyo Japanese gardens and other calm and pleasant sites. We both enjoyed our time with Yoshie who answered all of our odd questions in near perfect english. I wanted to know about the social fabric of modern Japan - from its attitudes towards alcohol, women’s rights, the LGBTQ communities and its government, Yoshie answered all but only after a few seconds of thought. In addition, he knew the history, where to eat, how to navigate the train system at a pace that enabled us to see all the top sites. Clearly proud of his country (and with good reason) and is eager to share it. 20,000 steps was a highlight. Thank you
