I will use traditional handicrafts to illustrate the history and lifestyle of the people of Tokyo. Who were the samurai? What difference with a Ninja? How were armors crafted? I am also going to teach you all you need to know about those fierce warriors in front of a large collection of authentic weapons & armors.

Japanese Gardens and Tokyo Life: Bunkyo City Customized Tour

Bunkyo City is in the heart of central Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live now. We'll move around the city with a Bunkyo City Community Bus, B-guru ( “beagle”, the mascot character of the bus), and visit Edo-Tokyo Japanese gardens and other calm and pleasant sites. You'll also catch a glimpse of Tokyo citizens’ life during the tour.

Our Tour will start from Meiji Shrine, then move to Takeshita street where you can find cute ‘Kawaii’ culture. On Omotesando Promenades you will find a gorgeous line-up of newly designed architecture, such as Omotesando Hills by Tadao Ondo etc. Finish is Shibuya where you can enjoy Shibuya Crossing. Goal will be good Japanese restaurant.

“Unforgettable time. The best!”

My wife and I did a full day tour and WOW! From start to finish Raphael was amazing. He custimized in real time noting our energy levels and interest providing a truly unique experience blending the right amount of history, sight seeing, and an inside unique view of the local culture. He was able to connect and relate to european / american contrasts. He has an exceptional amount of knowledge on all topics and we felt so comfortable with his genuine and relaxed approach to guiding and navigating the sites in a very efficient way. He makes you feel welcome and invited into the culture from the moment you meet. Not least, he's also an impressive photographer, always noting great photo opportunities along the way (in addition to well planned bathroom breaks, shops, delicious foods, comfortable places to rest for a little deep dive into the history, etc). “A wonderful day with a calm and generous spirit”

My two teenage daughters and I spent a wonderful day with Rika. Her love of her City is plain but she also very generously welcomed us into her home on the island of Ninoshima. We had a very relaxed and enjoyable morning with a variety of creative and cultural activities - calligraphy, onigiri making and paper crane folding. The onigiri were delicious and fun and easy to make, something I hope we can bring home with us. Rika was patient and thoughtful in her explanations of Japanese culture and Hiroshima's history. Despite the devastating history, peace and the beauty of the City and spirit today was always the positive focus. Thank you so much for a special and memorable day.
