I will use traditional handicrafts to illustrate the history and lifestyle of the people of Tokyo. Who were the samurai? What difference with a Ninja? How were armors crafted? I am also going to teach you all you need to know about those fierce warriors in front of a large collection of authentic weapons & armors.

Our Tour will start from Meiji Shrine, then move to Takeshita street where you can find cute ‘Kawaii’ culture. In this tour, we visit the beautiful Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, created in 1629. As you stroll around the central pond, you can enjoy landscapes inspired by rivers, mountains, countryside and the sea. Afterwards, we move to the place for where you can experience tea ceremony, where a tea master prepares matcha in a refined, ritualized manner. You’ll savor Japanese sweets, learn about the history and philosophy of tea ceremony, and even try making tea yourself.

Bunkyo City is in the heart of central Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live now. We'll move around the city with a Bunkyo City Community Bus, B-guru ( “beagle”, the mascot character of the bus), and visit Edo-Tokyo Japanese gardens and other calm and pleasant sites. You'll also catch a glimpse of Tokyo citizens’ life during the tour.

“Keiko Was a Joy! ”

My mom and I had the best time with Keiko on our private tour! We weren’t totally sure what we wanted to see, so I gave her a few ideas and she put together a great itinerary. She was super mindful to make sure we were okay with walking, she really helped us navigate the train, and we got to see so much in our time together. “Excellent well tailored tour with our guide Yushi.”

The tour was well planned fully meeting our expectations getting all the information expected about paper making. All our questions were well answered also about the region and some facts about the Japanese culture. Yushi is an excellent guide speaking very well English and we would definitely do a tour again with her. We must especially mention the more than 80 year old Japanese lady working in the paper factory for more than 60 years who guided us through the paper making process highly motivated and making a lot of jokes with Yushi translating and explaing all the details very well. Finally this impressive lady was staying in street and greeting us until we disappeared around the corner - this was really a very very special unforgettable experience
