It took me some 20 years to be qualified for this job and I feel honored for being able to help tourists from abroad understand our nation and culture. Japan is a beautiful country with a long history, tradition and rich cultural heritages, having various features in each of the four distinct seasons. Although there are now many visitors from abroad, mainly from Asian countries, they are mostly interested in shopping taking advantage of cheaper yen rather than understanding our people and culture. Kyoto and Nara are the two cities best known by foreign tourists, but not all the aspects of Japanese culture are concentrated there. If you visit the countryside other than these two cities, you will never fail to see the beautiful natural surroundings and people who will warmly welcome you. If you're coming to Fukuoka for the first time, I recommend Tochoji Temple, Kushida Shrine and Fukuoka Castle Ruins where you can get feel for Japanese culture and history. Thirty minutes away from the center by train is Dazaifu. There you can enjoy a very famous shrine, Dazaifu Tenmangu, known as the home of " the god of literature or calligraphy." and Kyushu National Museum. Fukuoka is also a mecca for shopping and food. If you're coming to Fukuoka again, I recommend that you try local food, for example, Hakata Ramen-noodles in pork broth and locally caught fish. I can also take you to a traditional Japanese shopping arcade, Kawabata Shotengai. If you would like to get out of the city, we could go to Yanagawa, a town of canals, which is a one hour ride from the city center. You can try boat tours enjoying the leisurely view of the historic buildings and try Steamed Eel. Fukuoka travel tip: if you arrive in Fukuoka by JR, make sure to get off at "Hakata Station." Sorry, there's no "Fukuoka Station." on JR lines. Hakata is an old name for Fukuoka and your destination. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

“FANTASTIC day in Nagoya”
Saya was absolutely delightful. We had a fantastic day visiting some sites, lunch and even some shopping. There were six of us and she rented a van to take us around. All of us had a wonderful day and highly recommend spending the day with her. Nagoya is a wonderful city and if you only have a day to see as much as possible this a perfect way to spend it.

“Buen profesional empático y amable”
Tuvimos solo cuatro horas en Osaka después de un día muy intenso en Kioto. Llegamos bastante cansados pero en apenas cuatro horas Takishi nos ofreció una interesantísima visita general que nos dejó a todos con muchas ganas de volver a conocer con mayor profundidad esta ciudad. “Excellent tour of Temples, Shrines and Beautiful Kamakura!”
Yoshi was a wonderful tour guide for us to take in four temples and one shrine, and we even had time to shop along one of Kamakura's main shopping streets and enjoy a fabulous ramen and tempura lunch at a local eatery that Kamakura residents enjoy. His English is excellent and his historical knowledge is vast. He met us at our Yokohama hotel, helped us purchase train tickets, explained the background of each stop and answered all our questions. When I first contacted Yoshi (pre-booking), I asked him if he could include Engaku-ji Temple to his advertised Kamakura tour. Although it was a different train stop, he was happy to accommodate and was even so kind as to identify my grandmother's grave site at Engaku-ji Temple for us. He also took us to a local literary museum that had an exhibit of special interest to us. We are so happy to have had Yoshi's service for a full day, as we would never have been able to take in so much in one day! We highly recommend him and hope on our 2026 Japan visit that we are able to use his services again.
