1. Overall it was a good experience with the tour and they were punctual 2. One set back was the parking/toll fees which we had to pay for the travel the driver took from Tokyo to Mt Fuji. The clause in the booking stated that we could book the trip from Mt Fuji instead of from Tokyo. As we have already booked our tickets from Tokyo to Mt Fuji, we took the tour option. We felt that it was unfair that we had to pay the additional charge from Tokyo to Mt Fuji when we clearly state that the start of the tour was from Mt Fuji. If it was toll and parking in Mt Fuji it would be fine.

Even though the tour began from Mt. Fuji as per your request, the vehicle and driver still needed to travel from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji to meet you. This is one of the key differences between a private hire service (ハイヤー) and a traditional taxi in Japan. During the inquiry stage, we provided you with an estimate of the expected toll and parking fees for the entire journey, including the cost from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji. The booking was made after you reviewed and accepted these terms. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

“Tokyo tour with a pro”

Loved the time we spent with Yoko in Tokyo. We had planned for a trip to Mt Fuji initially, but as the weather was very unfavourable, Yoko offered to show us around some of the most interesting sites in the city. She knows Tokyo inside out, spoke perfect English, and was very pleasant company all throughout. I ended up regretting that I did not book more days with her, but I am thankful for the one I had.
