Kashima H. was a great guide and communicator. Before we arrived he told us the cherry blossoms were early this year so with our permission he would take us to several spots of late blooming trees. We were happy with the spots chosen and enjoyed going on the Tokyo subway with him too. He found a ramen restaurant for us at Ueno Station. We very much enjoyed the tour and recommend Kashima H. to be your guide.

“Chiaki K. Tokyo Life Tour ”

Our tour with Chiaki was great from pre-tour communication through our adventure in the city. Chiaki’s knowledge of Japanese culture, history, and English is excellent. She is organized and thoughtful, presenting the plan for the day, explaining changes for expected weather, and guidance along the way to ensure we were satisfied. Chiaki’s guidance included teaching us to confidently navigate the Metro. The system is designed with patterns in mind, so what seemed confusing at first was not in the long run. As an educator I appreciated Chiaki’s note system when visiting a special Buddhist temple. We understood what was going on while respecting the need for silence. As a guide and a human Chiaki is exceptional. Our day was more like visiting a good friend in Tokyo. We highly recommend Chiaki when you are in Tokyo!
