“Amazing introduction to Tokyo”

We are a British couple who recently visited Japan for the first time, and we booked Melody to give us a tour of Tokyo on our second day in the city. Despite it hammering down with rain all day, it was a wonderful day. Melody was very friendly and accommodating, and went over and above the time we had booked to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see. He showed us around the Tokyo Metro system and how to get IC cards, which proved very useful around the rest of our visit. We visited anime shops and retro video game shops and the Tamiya model shop, temples and gardens, and enjoyed delicious tempura for lunch in a local restaurant at Melody's recommendation. It's a shame we couldn't see much from the top of the tower - the clouds were too low - but we have no control over the weather. Having never visited Japan before I was a bit nervous about coming to such a different culture, but Melody really helped us become familiar with the city, and was happy to answer all the questions we had about Japanese culture. Thank you, Melody, for such a welcoming introduction to a fabulous city, and for being so friendly and accommodating, It was a really informative tour, and helped us navigate our way around Tokyo for the remainder of our time there.

“A Great 1st Day in Japan”

We hired Yukiko for our first day in Tokyo (and Japan) to help us get our bearings. She ended up being a perfect choice. She is conscientious, visiting our hotel a day early to make sure things went smoothly. She patiently showed us the ropes, helping us figure out how to pay fares and navigate the subway, so we could function on our own. She organized the day to visit three sites, each a subway ride apart, and was an informed and enthusiastic tour guide, having prepared handouts with the history of each place and kept a fast pace to make sure we got the most out of each site. Dear Gail and Doug, Thank you for your great review! The impression you gave me was so bright although it was cloudy that day. You were such good listeners of my explanation and you gave me keen questions. You were so intelligent and seemed to appreciate every moment in my tour. You were interested in everything I explained especially about Japanese history, culture and architecture(Doug was an architect.) Your eagerness inspired me as a guide. “Wonderful day in Nikko”

We had a wonderful day visiting Lake Chuzenji, Kegon falls, Toshogu Shrine and Edo wonderland. Kenta was a great guide, very friendly and wonderful with kids. I highly recommend.
