“Akira took me everywhere!”

I’m glad I picked Akira as my guide. He was kind and welcoming and very knowledgeable. He took me to both popular sightseeing spots and local spots off the beaten path away from other tourists. He adjusted where we went based on what I enjoyed and took me to so many places over the two days I spent with him. He also took great photos of me along the way. I’d recommend Akira to anyone looking to enjoy the city with a real local! I learned a lot about Tokyo and enjoyed getting to know Akira who is a kind person. Thank you, Akira!

“Tokyo with a Private Guide using the Subway.”

We had a very interesting day with Hideaki M. visiting a number of places in Tokyo by subway which we would never have got to on our own. He did a great job; setting a pace suitable for Senior Citizens who were very tired, having just disembarked from our ship! Tokyo Government Building Observation Room was a great stop where we enjoyed panoramic views and even got to see Mt. Fuji in all its glory. The visit to Shinjuku Gyoen Garden National Park was very special with many of the Cherry trees still in flower giving some beautiful displays of blossoms and so many other spectacular trees and a finally a visit to the traditional Japanese garden. We stopped for lunch where we had to cook our own food on a hot plate at the table which was a great experience as we have never done that before. The food was really very good, reasonably priced and very tasty! Then it was off to Shibuya Scramble Crossing to enjoy the atmosphere of crossing with many, many people in all directions. By then these Seniors were ready for home so we took our last subway ride for the day and were delivered back to our hotel. Hideaki thank you for your assistance with our shopping along the way and especially helping with collecting our pre-purchased train tickets for our upcoming journey: it was much appreciated. It was a great experience all round, so thank you.
