First time out of the country. First time in Japan with my 2 children. I didn’t know any Japanese, but my daughter knows a ton. Well, my daughter was crazy nervous/scared to engage with anyone…so that didn’t quite work as planned lol. Tan saved the day! We ate with the locals WITH EASE. Visited a beautiful city we didn’t think to go to while getting a history lesson! Tan was a great friend to have for those couple hours! I would absolutely use her again!

Dear Shane, Thank you for your review. We visited Fushimi Shrine, Arashiyama, Tenryu Ji Temple, Bamboo forest, Okochi Garden and Golden Temple. We had a good lunch with reasonable price at a fancy restaurant in Arashiyama. Everything went well and we returned Tokyo one hour earlier than the plan. Please give my best regards to your Dad.

“The Best Way to Experience Kawagoe”

Leandra was amazing from the very beginning. She kept me updated before the tour, so I always knew what to expect, and when we met, it felt like exploring Kawagoe with a friend. She was so friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely wanted to make the day special. She checked in throughout the tour to see if there was anything specific I wanted to do or see. I mentioned that my mom had asked me to bring home temple prayer beads, and she immediately looked up a nearby temple so we could make a stop. It wasn't on the itinerary, but she went out of her way to make it happen, and I really appreciated that personal touch. The itinerary was the perfect mix of history, culture, and time to wander. Seeing the wind chime festival at Hikawa Shrine was beautiful, strolling through the historic streets of Little Edo was like stepping back in time, and Candy Alley was such a fun place to explore. It was also an extremely hot day, but Leandra made sure we never felt rushed. She kept a comfortable pace, found opportunities for us to cool off, and made sure we took breaks along the way. She was always checking to make sure I was comfortable, and those little acts of kindness made such a difference. If you're thinking about booking a tour with Leandra, do it. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, flexible, and truly cares about giving you an experience that's tailored to you. This was one of my favorite days in Japan, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide.
