“One of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo”

Stephen’s jazz kissa crawl was genuinely one of the highlights of my time in Tokyo. He has a fantastic knowledge of jazz, but what made the evening special was that it never felt like a conventional guided tour. It felt much more like spending an evening exploring Tokyo’s jazz scene with someone who genuinely loves the music. We visited some wonderful jazz kissas, listened to great records, drank perhaps a little more than originally intended, and talked for hours about jazz, music, Japan and life in general. Stephen is knowledgeable, thoughtful, funny and excellent company, and he introduced me to music and places I would never have discovered on my own. If you love jazz and want to experience Tokyo’s kissa culture properly rather than simply ticking places off a list, I couldn’t recommend this highly enough. I’ll definitely be getting in touch with Stephen again the next time I’m in Tokyo. Five stars.

“Perfect Private Tokyo Tour for Our Family With Melody”

We had a private full-day tour of Tokyo with Melody and had such a great experience! We only had a limited amount of time, but Melody managed to show us so many amazing places and really gave us a great feeling for the city. What we appreciated most was how flexible and attentive Melody was. Our personal wishes were always taken into account, and Melody was also wonderful with our children and made sure the day was enjoyable for them too. We saw some of the best spots in Tokyo, had lots of fun and never felt like we were just following a standard tour. It felt personal and relaxed from beginning to end. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would definitely recommend Melody, especially to families visiting Tokyo. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable day!

Hülya, thank you so much for the wonderful photos and your heartwarming review! We had such a great day exploring Harajuku, Akihabara, and Tokyo Station together. And your children were absolutely wonderful! As you said, my tours are a little different from typical tours. I always try to spend the day with my guests as if we were family, rather than simply guiding them from place to place. I truly hope to see you and your lovely family again someday!

I had such a wonderful experience with our tour guide! She was incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire tour. She made me feel comfortable and took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. She went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time and got to enjoy every part of the experience. I truly appreciated her kindness and positive attitude. Hello Kim, Thank you so much for your review so quickly. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. You must be tired after all the walking we did! There is a wonderful place called Shibamata near where you are staying now. Please have a look at pages  49 of the book I gave you today. From the nearby Keisei Hikifune Station, take the train to Takasago Station, then transfer to the Kanamachi Line and get off at Shibamata Station. You will immediately find yourself in the charming old town. Shibamata has preserved much of its traditional atmosphere and was also used as a filming location for the famous Japanese movie series Otoko wa Tsurai yo (It’s Tough Being a Man).
