Yoshihiro took into account that we had booked other events and had already been to some places and was able to amend the itinerary on the fly to take this into account. We are going to Kyoto in a few days time and had intended to buy our shinkasen tickets on the day. He thought we should booked them today, as the "good seats" might not be available, and showed us how the ticket machine worked. This proved to be an excellent tip. We felt he looked after us very well and made sure we were comfortable whilst explaining the history and culture. Thanks!
“Look no further than Nori…”
We are having a fantastic vacation and of all my decisions, picking Nori has been one of the best. Nori worked with me to make an itinerary that that not only fit within our time constraints, it also allowed us to see the beauty and Japanese Culture Kyoto has to offer. We were also able to make adjustments as the day went along that allowed us to enjoy the day. Through his explanations and story telling, we were able to learn about the shrines, temples, market places as well as Japanese history and culture in a way that kept us interested and engaged. He even took pictures for us or directed us to vantage points for good photos. He helped us find a fantastic Ramen place for lunch and assisted us while shopping but not directing us to specific shops. He also helped us make our transition and purchase tickets for the bullet train. Nori is kind, patient and interesting. If I had more time to explore Kyoto, or if I had friends or family coming here, I would insist they hire Nori as a tour guide.

Of course, March to May is Sakura season, so tourism is high during this time. To escape the crowds, try traveling from December to February. June to August is hot and moist, and May to June is rainy.
