Tobu Nikko Station
- The guide will arrive on the train scheduled to reach Tobu-Nikko Station from Tokyo at 8:54 AM. Please wait in the waiting room at Tobu-Nikko Station.
Shinkyo Bridge
Shinkyo Bridge, a vermillion bridge located at the entrance of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, is a popular photo spot for travelers.
It is considered one of the most beautiful and sacred bridges in the country. Built over the Daiya River, Shinkyo Bridge is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
Nikko Toshogu Shrine
The main event of the tour is visiting Nikko Toshogu Shrine, dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. As UNESCO World Heritage Site, it draws tourists globally. Within its precinct, among 55 buildings, the “Yomeimon”, or “Sunset Gate”, stands out for its captivating beauty. Its magnificent splendor is truly breathtaking. Sculpture Wonderland in Nikko: Shinkyo Bridge, Rinnoji Temple, Toshogu Shrine, & Taiyuin
Nikko, which has been acknowledged as World Heritage in 1999, has temples and shrines with awesome sculptures. We will ride a Tobu express train for approximately two hours from the east side of Tokyo area to visit there and take time to appreciate them. You can enjoy Yuba (tofu skin), which is one of the local specialities, buckwheat noodles or curry and rice etc. as lunch.
