A market which was raised from the ashes of a burnt temple, this market is the beating heart of Osakan food culture, and part of the reason the city has come to be known as the "kitchen of the nation".
Dotonbori
This most iconic canal and entertainment district hides an area known only to locals, and the story of a shrine which is said to grant blessings of fertility upon whomever pays homage to the goddess that lies within.

This walking tour focuses on the "Nishinari" district of Osaka. This is a tour around a usually overlooked labyrinth of side-streets and alleyways packed to the brim with bars and eateries that are beloved by locals. Be accompanied by a bilingual expat who will guide you through this district which is criminally overlooked by many visitors. Google translate won't help you here-- many of the menus are hand-written, and the bars staffing no native English speakers. No worries, I will handle all interpretation for you! VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY!

Tour of Osaka-jo Castle
(Highlights) The present castle building looks beautiful, powerful and in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. Spiritual Tour in Temple Town, Osaka
Visit an image of paradise in this world and the afterlife. Osaka began around the 7th century when the Imperial Palace and the Temple were built on the hill. In the Middle Ages, aristocrats believed that the paradise (Pure Land of Buddha) of the afterlife was beyond the setting sun, and built hermitages for Sunset Meditation. Time passed, and merchants enjoyed the performing arts in a paradise-like entertainment zone below the hill. Movie Palace was also built, and the slopes became locations.
