Rikugi-en (六義園) : A traditional massive circular-style garden around a big pond with beautiful bridges and gazebos. A typical garden for a federal lord of mid Edo-period (18th century).

Hama-rikyu (浜離宮恩賜庭園) : A traditional garden which used to be a second house of Shogun family (17th century). You can access by boats from Asakusa and there is a cafe serving cold macha.

Koishikawa Koraku-en(小石川後楽園 ): A traditional garden created for a side branch of Shogun Family (17th century). Some elements were designed to entertain princesses who married from west side of Japan and miss her home.

Shiba-rikyu (旧芝離宮恩賜庭園) : A circular-style garden around pond for a federal lord of Edo period (17th century) which used to face seaside. Dynamically and attractively arranged rocks along garden path.

Kiyo-sumi teien( 清澄庭園 ): A traditional garden created for an owner of powerful business group Mitsubishi in late 19th century.

Kyu Furukawa-tei (旧古河庭園) : The architecture and rose garden were designed by an English designer, and Japanese garden created by a renowned Japanese gardener, Ueji.

Happo-en (八方園): A traditional Japanese garden of a former secretary of 1st Shogun (16th century) built on a sloped topography. They have a collection of bonsai some of which came from Edo period.

Hotel New Otani (ホテルニューオータニ): A traditional Japanese garden with dynamic stepped topography and a cascade of water, which history goes back to Edo period.

Tonogyato teien(殿ヶ谷戸庭園): A traditional stroll style garden with woods and pond on an unique landscape. It used to be a second house for a rich family in early 20th century.

Takao Komanogi teien( 高尾駒木野庭園 ): A traditional private Japanese garden belonged to a local doctor(20th century). Very detailed and well maintained.

Yamamoto-tei (山本亭) : A traditional small garden which used to be a private property. You can enjoy the interior of the traditional architecture too.

Suikei-en (邃渓園 / 柴又帝釈天): A traditional temple garden which history goes back to Edo period. It is attached to a sculpture museum. You can admire garden from corridors.

Kyu-asakura jyutaku (旧朝倉家住宅) : A small private garden which you can enjoy through different shapes of windows of the traditional architecture .

Akasaka Intercity Air (赤坂インターシティエア) : A hilly landscape garden around a commercial building. The design is in contemporary finish having a rustic atmosphere using native pants. Must to visit.

Giburi Museum and Inokashira Park(ジブリ美術館と井の頭恩賜公園): A roof garden with a robot statue from a renowned Gibri animation 'A castle in the sky.' There are beautiful park and irrigation channel in walking distance.

Ginza Six roof garden(銀座シックス屋上庭園) : A roof garden on the central commercial building. By using native plants and water fountain they create refresh space for shoppers.

Futako Tamagawa Station(二子玉川駅周辺) : A large roof garden dedicated to wildlife on the station building including fishpond and a contemporary interpreted Japanese Garden in its vicinity.

Gotenyama Project (御殿山プロジェクト): A contemporary Japanese garden in a narrow corridor between skyscrapers to recreate a naturalistic landscape using traditional plants and materials. The view from a lobby is breathtaking.

Mita Sumitomo Twin Building(住友不動産三田ツインビル): A carpet of moss phlox on the slope behind a skyscrapers. Its contemporary, sharp finish is beyond your imagination.

Otemachi Forest(大手町の森) : A landscape project create 'Forest' in the middle of central Tokyo. They use an experimental method to recreate the natural transition to a forest.
