Meiji Shrine
- Meiji Shrine is a peaceful Shinto sanctuary surrounded by a sacred forest planted over 100 years ago.
- It enshrines Emperor Meiji, who played a key role in Japan’s modernization.
- Let’s enjoy a relaxing walk along the tree-lined path and talk about Shinto beliefs and the role of the Emperor in Japanese history.
Imperial Palace View

Option 1: Garden Terrace – Enjoy a panoramic view of the Imperial Palace from the 6th floor of Midtown Hibiya. Learn about Edo Castle, the Tokugawa shoguns, and the transition to the Imperial era.
Option 2: Nijubashi Bridge – Visit the famous bridge and walk around the spacious plaza. We'll talk about the history of Edo Castle, the shoguns, and the role of the Emperor in modern Japan.
Lunch in the Hibiya Area
- After visiting the Imperial Palace, we’ll enjoy lunch in the nearby Hibiya area.
- There are many convenient options, from casual Japanese dishes to international cuisine. If you have any preferences or dietary needs, feel free to let me know — I’ll do my best to find something that suits you.
- We’ll keep the lunch stop simple and efficient so we can make the most of our afternoon in Asakusa.
Asakusa
Explore Asakusa
- Our final stop is Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s most traditional and atmospheric neighborhoods.
We’ll visit Senso-ji, the city’s oldest temple with over 1,400 years of history.
- Walk through the iconic Kaminarimon Gate and enjoy Nakamise Street, lined with shops selling snacks, souvenirs, and crafts.
You’ll experience the charm of old Edo through narrow alleys, wooden buildings, and long-standing local businesses.
- Asakusa is the perfect place to enjoy history, culture, and local flavor — all in one stop.
Tour Ends in Asakusa (or at Your Hotel Upon Request)
- The tour finishes at 3:00 PM either in Asakusa or at your hotel, depending on your preference.
- From here, you can choose to explore more of the area on your own — the day is still young!
- If you prefer, I can also escort you back to your hotel by public transport (within central Tokyo), depending on your preference and schedule.
