“Perfect day and perfect guide”
Yasuro was the absolute perfect guide for this tour. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the history surrounding the area, but he is also a genius at maneuvering the transportation system to get there early to avoid crowds. We had a wonderful day, even though it was rainy and cloudy.

Dear Diane Kovacic, Thank you very much for your generous review for me. Yes, I did hope that it was a fine beautiful day for us in Hakone with a great view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Ashi. But I am satisfied that three of us somehow managed to finish the caldera excursion tour and came back to Shinjuku in time without big troubles. To tell the truce, yesterday was my last day for Hakone & Lake Ashi tour, because, as I will be 74 years old on this May 11th, it is getting too tough for me to continue this job. Please enjoy the tour in other parts of Japan as well as your cruising tour. Bon voyage and Sayonara! Best regards, Yasuro

“A beautiful day filled with cherry blossoms.”
A special thank you to Tomohiko for a memorable day. Upon booking this tour many months ago, I had great communication with Tomohiko regarding our tour. The morning of the tour Tomohiko met us at the cruise port and after attending a tea ceremony, off we went to see the sights of Aomori and its surrounding areas. Tomohiko is an incredibly knowledgeable and caring guide, who was always willing to answer questions and provide us with the local history. Being a long time resident of Aomori, Tomohiko provided a unique prospective of Aomori’s history and lifestyle. Arriving in late April, we were truly lucky to experience the cherry blossoms. The lake and park at Tsuruta Mawarizeki (Fuji Miko Park) were incredibly beautiful and a memorable experience, as the area was filled with pink cherry blossoms. Later in the day a or visit to Saishoin Temple and Hirosaki Castle was equally beautiful. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Tomohiko.

March to May and September to November are the best times to visit Japan because the weather is warm but not blazing and cool but not freezing.
Of course, March to May is Sakura season, so tourism is high during this time. To escape the crowds, try traveling from December to February. June to August is hot and moist, and May to June is rainy.
