My name is Miyu. I have been a Nationally Licensed Guide Interpreter since 2009. I began my career as a tourist guide last year after working as a public servant for nearly four decades. I worked in the Atomic Bomb Survivors Support Division for 12 years until I retired from the local government, and I continue to interact with Hibakusha. Therefore, I have a lot of knowledge about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body, which I can correctly convey to inbound visitors. I have experience in tea ceremonies and calligraphy and am especially good at guiding visitors through tea ceremony experiences. Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". “Hiroshima City Sightseeing Tour with Hideo”
Thank you Hideo, absolute pleasure to have met you. This was a great tour, pity the castle was closed but the samurai standing guard and taking photos with them made up for it. Hideo is kind and caring making sure everything worked out for us. Lunch was Okonomiyaki, and was the best in a little local spot only Hideo knew. Definitely better than cruise ship tours. I'm very happy to receive your excellent review. I was very surprised to see your guest offering a big paper crane and a set of 1,000 paper cranes at Peace memorial Park. This is the first time I've ever seen foreign tourist bringing paper cranes. I'll never forget her kindness and thoughtfulness. “Miyajima & Hiroshima with Mayumi: 10/10!”
Rain couldn’t dampen this incredible experience with Mayumi! It poured the entire day during our tour of Miyajima Island and Hiroshima, but thanks to Mayumi, we barely noticed the weather. Despite being wet and cold, Mayumi’s cheerful energy and deep knowledge kept our spirits high. She orchestrated every detail beautifully, constantly checking in on our needs and ensuring there was never a dull moment. Since it was a jam-packed itinerary, she expertly helped us prioritize the most important sights so we didn't feel overwhelmed. From the seamless pickup at the train station to the final drop-off, she looked after us completely.
