Hiroshima is a city of rivers and the sea. Along the rivers Cherry trees line, and the calm Seto Inland Sea, dotted with islands, creates a stunning landscape. Also, the sea has many islands called "art islands" which have fantastic arts relating to the art festival "Setoushi Triennale". In addition to our two World Heritage Sites, this area is rich in attractive resources. I hope many of you will come and experience this fascinating land. “Hiroshima highlighted with local insights ”
Kazumi’s local knowledge combined with her friendly easygoing personality made her the perfect guide. A sombre and reflective morning spent visiting the peace park and museum was followed by a wonderful lunch of crispy okonomiyaki. Our afternoon was a visit to the delightful Miyajima Island.
