Gion is the area of entertainment, where there are many bars and taverns. Some important business and political talks have been conducted. You may run across Maiko and Geiko, Japanese entertainers in kimono. If you want to wear Japanese costume in Gion, I can arrange with extra charge. “Amazing Kyoto Tour with Niko!”
We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Niko, and would highly recommend her. Niko took us through all of the major Kyoto highlights, including Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera, Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Kinkaku-ji, and Nishiki Market. She was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. What really stood out was how much Niko went above and beyond. She also reserved dinner for us at an incredible restaurant in Osaka, where we had the best filet mignon we’ve ever had. She also gave us excellent recommendations for the Tokyo portion of our trip, which ended up being extremely helpful. Niko was fantastic from beginning to end. Easily five stars and one of the highlights of our trip to Japan!

“Great Guide”

He was very attentive to our individual interests and adapted the tour accordingly. This is exactly what you’d hope for from a tour with a knowledgeable, local guide.
