He handled every logistic seamlessly, from transport to meals to navigating the island itself, so we could just focus on taking it all in. He also has deep local relationships and a real respect for the place and its history, which came through in every interaction. We learned so much from him and had more fun than we expected. This is not a trip you could easily do on your own, and Armando is exactly the guide you want. Two of the most memorable days of our entire Japan visit. If you’re considering this excursion — book it, and consider yourself lucky to have him.

“Wonderful tour of Nagasaki with Sho”

We did a day trip from Fukuoka to Nagasaki by train. We chose Sho-san after looking at the various reviews. Sho-San was an amazing guide. He is a very knowledgeable and humble young man. He met us at the train station and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the tour. We learnt a lot from him about the history of the early Christians in Japan. The 26 martyrs museum was interesting and well curated, with exhibits and displays about Christianity in Japan. Sho-San then brought us to a charming cafe for a light lunch. After that, we visited the Peace museum, hypocentre and Peace Park. The fact that he lives in Nagasaki and is so passionate about Nagasaki’s history and culture made this tour a special one. I would strongly recommend Sho-san if you are looking for a guide for Nagasaki.

As a solo traveler who doesn't speak Japanese, a great guide is a godsent. Yuki did her outmost to make my time in Nagasaki a memorable experience and took extra care to cater to my preferences. She is one of those rare people that make you instantly relax when you meet her. We had a great dinner at the habour of Nagasaki before going up to mount Inasa to look out on a night-lit city. Yuki was so easy to talk to and really sociable the whole time.
