“ The Best Decision We Made for Our First Day in Japan”

My husband and I booked a personalised half-day tour with Shusaku M for our first day in Japan, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our trip. From the moment we met him, Shusaku M was friendly, warm, approachable and incredibly knowledgeable. He spoke excellent English, answered every question we had with patience, and created a relaxed environment where we felt comfortable asking absolutely anything. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Rather than taking us to tourist traps, Shusaku M listened to what we wanted and introduced us to the local side of Tokyo. He gave us a wonderful introduction to the Nakano area, showed us some fantastic little places to eat, and helped us gain confidence using the train system, particularly the JR lines. He also helped us set up our Suica cards and provided great recommendations for places to visit during the rest of our stay. Most importantly, he gave us the confidence to navigate Tokyo on our own. The very next day, we were able to use the train system independently with minimal stress and successfully make our way back to our hotel! We genuinely feel lucky to have found such a kind, personable and professional guide for our first day in Japan. Shusaku M made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel easy, enjoyable and exciting. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a local guide who is knowledgeable, patient, non-judgemental and genuinely invested in helping visitors have a great experience in Japan. Joe, thank you so much for the wonderful review and photos! I’ve been thinking about the countless fun memories I shared with your family—like the 7-Eleven onigiri and the beautiful bonsai at Meiji shrine. What made me laugh the most was our lunch in Asakusa. I wanted everyone in the family to try the minced fatty tuna rice bowl, but before anyone else had the chance, you finished all by yourself! “2 days Tokyo sightseeing with Yuki”

Yuki was wonderful organising a 2-day tour for us (transport, ticket entry and food stops were seamless). He was flexible and informative about all our sites: Shibuya Sky Observatory, Meiji Shrine, Asakusa/Senso-ji Temple, Tsukiji Outer Market, Team Lab Borderless and Imperial Palace Gardens. Would highly recommend.
