Kumiko arrived early aTrip. began our walking tour with the red brick historical building. There is so much information about all of Hokkaido here, not just Sapporo. I also found the information about the Ainu people very well done. We saw the TV Tower, the Sapporo Station, and some interesting shops (including a stop at a fabric mart for this sewist) and a stop at a park and shrine to see cherry blossoms - before going to the wholesale fish market for a delicious lunch. The Hokkaido fresh seafood is delicious and unique. We ended our day with a tour of the Sapporo Beer Museum and tastings for me. Informative and tasty! Kumiko is a delightful guide, easy to talk with and very open to your guidance and preferences. I would highly recommend her for your trip.

“Fantastic day with Kumiko”

Kumiko gave us a wonderful treat by sharing much about the Japanese culture and history of Hokkaido. The highlights were riding the metro with her explanations of how things worked and then going to a fresh seafood market cafe to feast on snow crab and sushi. We also loved visiting the famous shrine with Kumiko to show us what to do. She is so kind and I really enjoyed spending the day with her. We give Kumiko 5 stars.

“Lovely Day Trip!”

We had a wonderful day trip with Kumiko-San during our short visit to Hokkaido. In between our visits to Hill of Buddha and Hokkaido Museum Kumiko-San introduced us to a local farm-to-table business for lunch. This place grows their own grains and vegetables as well as makes their own pottery. We even got a bonus view of a fox hunting in the nearby farm! Kumiko-San is quite lovely and very knowledgeable about many things, highly recommend!
