I am an American male bi-lingual (English & Japanese)tour guide based/living in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. I have lived here several decades and I very familiar with the best places to see in Sapporo and outside of Sapporo/ other areas of Hokkaido. I can take you to the standard/well known sightseeing spots as well as "off the beaten path spots" that many overseas guests are unaware of. My tours are fun, on schedule, informative and transportation-wise very timely and smooth. Less time commuting and more time at location enjoying each point of interest. I have many years experience guiding tours in Sapporo and out to other areas of Hokkaido as well. Most of my tours are 1 day tours usually starting at 8 or 9a.m. and concluding at 6p.m. I basically use public transportation(buses, JR trains, and subways). I do own my own personal car and for guided tours with only 1 guest or small groups 2-3 guests, my private car is available for use. Meet up locations is usually at Sapporo Station in the morning but I can arrrange to meet you in the lobby of your hotel if requested. “Fantastic day with Kumiko”
Kumiko gave us a wonderful treat by sharing much about the Japanese culture and history of Hokkaido. The highlights were riding the metro with her explanations of how things worked and then going to a fresh seafood market cafe to feast on snow crab and sushi. We also loved visiting the famous shrine with Kumiko to show us what to do. She is so kind and I really enjoyed spending the day with her. We give Kumiko 5 stars.

“Lovely Day Trip!”
We had a wonderful day trip with Kumiko-San during our short visit to Hokkaido. In between our visits to Hill of Buddha and Hokkaido Museum Kumiko-San introduced us to a local farm-to-table business for lunch. This place grows their own grains and vegetables as well as makes their own pottery. We even got a bonus view of a fox hunting in the nearby farm! Kumiko-San is quite lovely and very knowledgeable about many things, highly recommend!

“Ice Skating and Lunch”
Kumiko was just fantastic, she arranged for us to go ice skating at the Ice Festival rink, followed by the most enjoyable lunch and visit to the Sapporo Beer Museum. I would highly recommend Kumiko as your guide during your time in Sapporo. Once again Kumiko, thank you for your assistance. It was great fun, I will book you again next year.
