Fun day!!

Hiromi was a great tour guide! We booked her for our first day in Tokyo and that was very helpful with getting to know the subway system. She planned a nice itinerary for us which also included a tea ceremony. She was very knowledgeable and pointed stuff out to us as we walked around Tokyo!

Best Tour Ever!!

I HIGHLY recommend Akira! We had a great day in Kyoto. He met us at our hotel with his clean and comfortable vehicle. He took our family to all of the places we wanted to visit. He was funny and very knowledgeable. We have two teenagers and he kept them engaged all day. He also took us to one of his favorite spots for ramen and it was one of the best meals we had on our entire trip! Thank you Akira for a great day!!

A driver, then a friend - A day in Aomori we'll never forget

If I could give Mr. Otani more than five stars, I would. He was assigned to us for our Aomori port day, and what was booked as a private car service turned into the single best day of our 14-day trip through Japan. The itinerary on paper was Hakkoda Ropeway, Hirosaki Castle and Park, and the Fujita Memorial Garden. But Mr. Otani made it so much more than a checklist. Even though the service noted that no guided tours were included, he walked every step of the way with us. He took our photos at every beautiful spot without being asked, pulled over at scenic lookouts he clearly loved, and went out of his way to show us small corners of his hometown that no itinerary would ever include. His generosity with both time and energy was remarkable, and he had more enthusiasm for his own city than most professional guides we have ever met. We spoke completely different languages and had to communicate entirely through a translator app, but honestly, it never once felt like a barrier. He was patient, curious, and quick to laugh. By midday, we were trading stories about our lives, our families, and Japan itself, and somewhere between Hirosaki Castle and a quiet roadside view, a driver became a friend. I keep coming back to the word vitality. Mr. Otani has it in spades. His warmth, his stories, and his genuine pride in showing us his home turned a single port day into a memory my partner and I will carry for years. If you are lucky enough to be paired with Mr. Otani, you are in for the kind of day that is very hard to plan for and impossible to forget. Thank you, Mr. Otani. You made our trip.
